Not sure about the "new" lines.

Hartikainen didn't play badly though.

I'm not sure why Yak was so far down the line-up...

Great game by Hall.

Eberle almost pulled a goal out of his ass.

Outside of Justin Schultz's play and Khabibulin's effort there are no positives to report. The Red Wings executed a near-perfect gameplan against the Oilers on their PK but lets be honest, shutting the Oilers' *cough* offense down isn't exactly rocket science.

Maybe if Whitney could handle the puck or make a pass it would have happened sooner.

5 losses in a row in a 48 game season is a death sentence.

I wonder how long Tambellini can sit and watch his team end games with 30% on the draw.

Pretty evenly played game. The Oilers now have the stars to match the likes of Datsyuk and Zetterberg, but the diiference was that the Wings scored on their 5 on 3 and the Oilers did not.

Agreed.
It's maddening to watch our boys get stiffled at every turn, but let's keep the faith. The kids will figure it out soon.

Seven years of losing with no end in sight. We have 5 of the best young offensive players on the planet, and can't score 2 goals in a game where we have 8 PP's against an absolutely average team.

Sorry for being bitter, this is the same crap team it has always been filled with veteran leaders who don't lead, and a team with absolutely no killer instinct.

These guys are so annoying.

Might get flamed for this but when's Hall going to start scoring some goals?

This feels just like last season. Start out a few games above .500, hopes quickly dashed. These guys are definitely not going to the playoffs.

I'm glad I had to watch this in SD.

A lot less painful when you can barely see what's going on.

If you can't score at ES, you can't win. Simple as that. Florida has scored more at ES than us. We're sitting dead last at ES GF. There will be games where our PP doesn't look good, and in those games we'll have to get goals the good ol' fashion way. At ES.

Right now we're not scoring there and this is why we're losing. A PP can only take you so far. We saw last year. Top-15 in special teams in both categories, and bottom 5 at ES, and we finished 2nd last.

Figure out how to score at ES if you want to go somewhere.

this team sucks because theyre inexperienced, slow at making decisions, and try to make up for it by playing with their youthful speed leading into more mistakes.

its like getting a bunch of kids from your local inline league who are all sick puck handlers and really fancy but sucks against a team that has actual structure, discipline and smarts.

soft/fast/fancy = go play inline hockey. not NHL hockey.

Whitney, Potter, Smyth need to GTFO, honestly.

Paajarvi needs to step up offensively.

The team needs to SHOOT on the ****ing PP and HIT THE ****ING NET.

Krueger needs to find out why we are having trouble scoring goals and fix it quick.

Frustrating. I know I am suppose to enjoy the highs and weather the lows but boy, these lows are brutal.

Our poweplay sucks so bad, we don't get enough shots on net, no net presence, and our D is having mental lapses.

The only positives from this game is how great RNH was defensively. Hall impressed me with his back checks as well.

Who is over-reacting? They have lost 5 in a row. Have only once in 11 games scored 4 goals in a game, and that was because of an empty netter. Eberle is doing squat. Nuge can't even come within a foot of hitting the net on any of his shots. Same garbage players on D constantly getting ice time game in and game out. 5-3 pp in the 3rd with the game tied and don't even come close to scoring. 6-4 at the end of the game and don't even come close to scoring.

As long as he has a job, he will sit and not do anything.
