iginla would make this team so nasty, but I doubt we can get him.

I can see Carter being the odd man out also though.. he's sort of the most unused forward on our 3rd line. Too much chemistry there though.
Loikotonov? He's only playing in Albany right now. Maybe you meant Barch, though at least he's not quite as useless as Cam on-ice and his fight in the first period did send a message.
Yeah, it'll be an interesting choice though judging by the need for the 'regular season goon' and Butler's place on the PP, Matteau will probably be the one to sit/be sent down.

This is an odd retweet by Booker:
Cory Booker @CoryBooker
RT @j_della: What a HORRIBLE job by #newark cleaning up the streets and sidewalks around the Prudential Center #devils
Why retweet this when this makes YOU look bad? Was he trying to show this is his payback over losing the lawsuit?

Barch will not be in the line-up come playoffs time. Lotkinov has a shot to be if he runs with his chance when he is called up.

Personally, my top choice is still Tomas Kopecky, although that's factoring in quality of play and probable player availability. Kulemin would be preferable, but I doubt he gets traded.
If Jagr came at a reasonable price I would jump at the opportunity.
Kovalchuk -Zajac- Jagr would be insane. It would work.

^ Kovy - Zajac - Jagr for the playoff run would be so unfair for the opposing teams.

He's been showing his true colors since losing the lawsuit
I would say its childish and unethical of him, but he's a politician so those two traits are already embedded in him

I remember during the Stanley Cup he was trash talking with the mayor of LA on twitter saying how the Devils were going to win the cup!

That's one of the possibilities. It's not the only one. A Zubrus - Zajac - Jagr line would dominate puck possession.

Very good point. It only points out the many possibilities. But that sounds more like an amazing 3rd line and where does Kovalchuk fit into the equation?

Put him back with Henrique?
I'm mostly thinking of the period last season where we had Zubrus, Ponikarovsky, and Bernier together and the damage they did on the forecheck as a trio. Jagr's weakness is lack of footspeed though, so I'm not how sure that would work. They'd be able to possess the puck, but getting it in the first place might be a chore.

Goal right now with the line-up needs to be in getting Zajac going.
Kovy is starting to show up on the scoreboard.. Zajac needs to get hot again.

I would rather he retweets both compliments and criticisms than just the former.

Kovalchuk with Zajac seems to be a problem? It hasn't seemed to work out anytime they've tried it?
Edit: need another digger on the line I think?
