Although it did for sure with me whenever our 3rd pairing and 4th line was out together. Dangerous move, and every time OTT put out the Alffie line to take advantage and other than score it worked for them.
I was talking specifically about the last PK - our possession was at least as good as the Sens while we were on the PK, and they were able to move things out of their own zone pretty reasonably without resorting to throwing it down the ice. PK over, new line on, and we're stuck in our own zone again. I can post the video of it, if you'd like. I do trust stats (my minor was in stats - I'll skip a discussion about backwards-looking nature of sports stats - I do support it as a method to explain what you're seeing after the fact 100%), but in this case, the visual supports the claim as well as the stats will, IMHO.

I'd take him back in a heartbeat.
Hainsey has never been a bad defenseman, just an overpaid one. 3 years 3.5 per is what I'd offer him.

Better effort tonight.

We killed the Sens on the faceoffs.

Nice to see the Jets hold on to a lead.

That was an ugly win, but a win nonetheless! As a Winnipeg pro hockey season holder for 10 years, bunch with the Moose and now with the Jets, I found it really in poor taste that I was rooting for Stephane Da Costa to get on the board. He played all the away from the 4th line up to the top line with Alffie and was arguably the Sens best player. Why? I have him in a fantasy keeper league. hehe I wanted to be honest. Whew. it felt good to get that off of my chest. Love how we killed off that last penalty. If we keep killing them like that and get outstanding goaltending from guys like Montoya, we may have a shot at a respectable record this year. I still think the traveling in this condensed schedule will hurt any chance of a playoff birth.

Great win for the Jets!!! Good to see Redmond getting decent amounts of playing time. From the games I've seen here 25 > 4 this season. What's the consensus in WPG ?

While an ugly win we deserved it! Thought the Jets in the forecheck and neutral zone was grade A tonight. They were giving Karlsson fits at times, he had nowhere to skate. Kudos to Montoya on a shutout as well.

Only one goal... not the best game to try out the "Budweiser Goal Light" with!! LOL.

They tend to have what each other lack...
Postma is a better skater and shooter but Redmond has much greater d-zone poise and decision making... fuzing them together would form a 1st-2nd pair tweener offensive D who isn't a liability in the d-zone haha
Both make some booboo's but it'll take a bit under Huddy to clean those up.

In the end... I like having options, which is rare to have with such bare prospect cupboards

I'd be SHOCKED if Pavelec wasn't in the net next game (unless the FLU is really that bad.)

Glad to not see a repeat of the last Sens matchup. Oh, and is Montoya our starter yet?

-Sounds like we played solid enough. Montoya came up big for us which is good. Even if Pavs gets the next start(which I'd understand) Monty certainly earned some starts soon.

-Sounds like another solid game from Burmi. What did he do that got such a good reaction late in the 3rd? Something about dangling someone or something.

-Was Kane's pk good? Someone will have to confirm but I think he played a bit of pk in his rookie year.

-How did each defenseman do?

You're absolutely right IMO.
Postma=Pavs...lots of skill, but prone to lapses
Redmond is a safer bet to lower GAA, at this point anyway.

For the brief amount of games Redmond has played, I actually liken him to Postma, but that could change. They are both early into their careers.

I had Wheeler on the facepalm moment. Like 3:50 left in the 3rd. 2 jets in deep and he gives it away in the high slot and its 3vs 2 going the other way.

I love how the Globe's article moves into Canadian existentialism in hockey. >_>

<-----------sucks.

I called a 5-2 loss to Wpg. Nice job by Montoya and the PK. I didn't see that coming at all.

Although I thought Burmi had a really solid game, my 3rd star would've been Redmond. Thought he looked great out there, really smart with the puck on his stick, did a great job of anticipating the play.

It's still early, but right now he should be the easy favorite to stick around on the bottom pairing once Buff and Bogo return.

If there is one slim silver lining in Buff and Bogo being out, its that Redmond is getting big league minutes.
