Its called "Any team with Dany Heatley on it will never win, even if you bring in two 60mil players for 100mil each and expect to be a top contender even though you have no bottom six, still too green prospects and decent goaltending that always gets hurts" -itis.

Zach asked Heatley if he thought they could win though!

Heatley gets bought out next year I think just to get them at the cap.

Heatley's eye gives him depth perception problems. He thinks it takes 8 wins to get a cup instead of 16.

I'm still baffled by that. Who the hell would take advice about winning from Heatley?

Or more importantly, how can you expect any 'current' member of a team to give an answer other than YES when you're a big FA asking them if they can win?

Ya, definitely. Just bizarre that Parise was convinced the grass is greener by Heatley, of all people. Personally I think all that was the smokescreen for the media so that they don't lambaste him for taking the big money over winning. There's no way he could actually think that Minnesota has a better chance of winning than we do.

When you ask yourself if a team can win, you look at their track record, period. It's pretty evident that Minny's track record is no where near ours.

The bottome line is that he left for the cash and the fact he can play at home. If the Wild were the Columbus BlueJackets, he would've signed in Columbus.

To play for a franchise with 3 playoff appearances ever.

Hell there is no way he could of believed that Minnesota had a better chance of winning then Detroit WITH BOTH OF THEM. Whole line was just utter crap.

Ya that's true. I would have respected him much more if he went to Detroit.

He must have done his research on the Wild HF Forum then, because there's no way an objective observer would have come away thinking they'll be a powerhouse because of their prospects.

When you ask yourself if a team can when, if they had the worst record in the league over the final 2/3 of the season the answer is no.

Everyone kind of overlooked how awful Minnesota was last year. They had that hot start and then finished with only Edmonton and Columbus behind them in the west,

Because Mike Yeo is not a good coach. Their beat writers have a pretty good handle on it over there, and even they're saying he should be feeling the fire under his ass.

I think Paul Maurice is a pretty damn good coach, it'd be a good move for the Wild to get him if Yeo is fired. I wanted Maurice here when we were looking for a coach

Langenbrunner's season is over. Hip surgery, hopes to save his career.

I like Paul Maurice! Please don't go to the wiLOLd Paul! I even liked him when he coached that trash in Carolina. Paul Maurice is a good coach, and I kinda was hoping we could hire him as our assistant to replace Oates, but he signed over in the KHL to coach. He also was the only guy on NHL Network giving us any credit at the start of the playoffs, and made the rest of their crew look really silly. He didn't even mention his friendship with Deboer either.

That really sucks for Langs. As much as his locker room poison is rightfully put down, it is hard to completely hate the guy. He did a lot of good things here too. Hope he recovers and gets to come back to play some more.

That post is just comical and so wrong.

Bottom line with Zach is exactly that. If he went to the Detroit and took Suter with him. Ya still be pissed at how it all went down, but at least you would have to respect and buy that he actually cared about winning a cup. Even if he went to Pitt (though I would of questioned why Pitt's solution to giving up 30+ goals in one round of the playoffs was to go overspend on another forward). This move was just pure money. No respect deserved, hope you rot and become a forgotten player on a do nothing franchise.
