Had a flat tire the other day on my car. Didn't really feel like dealing with AAA or driving on the flat rim to get air, so I figured I would try and fix the problem myself.
I remembered I had a few old edition books I didn't feel like selling on Amazon for $1 a piece, so why not use those things as impromptu 2x4s?
The Stone Con Law 6th edition is a real piece of **** book. Horribly written case explanations, horribly edited cases. Just a piece of ****. But it is a great to change a tire with!
Car on the book:
Book was a bit too thick for the 19" wheel (slightly different tire height will make the ride horrible until I get the winter tire fixed, but whatever). Had to open it. Thanks, Griswold v. Connecticut!
And look. The book is still usable after! ****, I can sell this on Amazon! "Slightly damaged spine, shelf wear on the cover, highlights throughout. Useful as a 2x4."
I'm sure we've all gotten books in worse condition than this, before.
