Size and leadership

When we play against bigger teams guys like Plekanec, Desharnais, Gionta disappears, where the heck is Cole? We need to change the environment, give Prust the C.

PLEK AND DESHARNAIS ARE PLAYING SCARED.

Poor Gallagher... DD barely tried to prevent him from being pummeled. Team toughness?

Yeah, it's really Plekanec and Gallagher's fault.

Trading Plekanec will be shooting out own foot. He's one of our best players.

Heartless scrubs. If only we had more character, lunch-pail guys. Wonder if Stubbs can do a week-long series on available Smolinski and Kostopoulos-types.

Plekanec was one of the few guys that showed up tonight. He has done hell of a lot more for us than big North Americans Pacioretty and Cole.

If I was Stubbs, I'd invite Kostopoulos to Moshies for a steak ASAP to hear his opinion on the Habs this year and how his family copes with travelling.

Gainey HS left MB with a real mess to fix, most noticeably Brian Gionta. I have never liked him. He does nothing but skate around. There is still hope we snag Barkov or Drouin!

The stress of waiting for your next contract must be tough for players like him, I'm sure Stubbs will find room to touch on that too.

(nice to see you're getting in the spirit )

If I don't go in full on sarcasm mode right now I'm going to get myself banned on the general board going after RogerRoeper or one of the other insane Leafs fans.

When has Pleklanec disapeared against a big team? He's been our best forward all year against all size teams.

Every team has small players, when Boston loses is it because Fereance Marchand and Krejci are small?

The collective IQ of this board drops 50 points every time we lose a game. We need 4 goons and a team of guys that are 6'4" or bigger.

Goons would have prevented us from giving up 5 goals before the Leafs pretended to be tough guys.

We don't need goons, OK maybe 1. What we really need is to size the team up. It's impossible to play hockey when half of your team is 5"10.

More like 4 guys under 5"10 and one over 6'2 and that the goalie.

Well, we need a bigger back line and it's time to replace Gionta and possibly Desharnais with bigger and hopefully better players. At the same time the smurf Gallagher was probably the only skill guy who showed up besides Eller and Plekanec.

This team definitely needs better balance. We need defenders who can clear the crease.
