So why then did he think Colton Orr had dropped his gloves?

I think you should show at least 10sec before the punch actually happened. Showing just one part of a video can lead to so many assumptions.

If you jump a guy when he has his gloves off, expect to get punched. This shouldn't be controversial.

Yeah, I gotta say, what did Bourque think was gonna happen when he jumped in?

Awards:
I felt it was a sucker punch at first too, but Bourque jumped in there to defend Gionta. Have to expect a guy who is known for fighting, to throw a haymaker at you.

Yeah but he wasn't jumping in to fight, he was just saying hey get away from gionta..

As orr was being a wimp going after Gionta one of our smallest players

Showing video of a 3rd man in...and seeking sympathy for a "sucker punch" is pretty low. Don't jump in when a fighter is engaged and all pumped with adrenaline.

Am I the only one that saw two/three Habs players on Orr? You just need something to complain about, see ya.

This is getting ridiculous. It was NOT a cheapshot. Bourqe was obviously running in to grab Orr.
