It wasn't as if big bad Colton Orr was picking on poor innocent defenseless Brian Gionta. The Habs captain is far from a saint, and when Orr was through with him, Bourque then stepped in to engage a known fighter who was clearly already in fist throwing mode. He must have known it was coming. I'll admit the GIF looks bad, but it doesn't tell the whole story.

Habs got their collective boxes stretched tonight. That gif is a symbolic gesture towards that stretching.

Clearly that would ruin the purpose of his entire post .

So if someone came up behind you while you are wrestling with another player, and grabbed your face with both hands and pulled your head down, you wouldn't instinctually want to punch that guy in the face?

I'm surprised Orr didn't bite him.

This point i'd agree with

Sucker punch? No, Bourque's gottak now that 1)If he comes third man in and 2) if he starts "scrumming" with a known fighter, he's going to get swung at.

Still think Orr may get something out of this, mainly for what looked like him pin missle hitting whoever he could in whatever situation there in the neutral zone.

If you watch the video of Orr trying to hit Pleks, you actually see Coltons leg come back into his body when he foes to line him up, pleks dodges and catches orrs skate then falls, gionta get out of here, bourque get out of here, mclaren has a laugh, end of story

Maybe add this gif to the OP so its somewhat fair to leaf fans
The first page is mostly non-Leafs fans who weren't fooled by the OP even without this longer gif.

I actually think Bourque bit Orr. Or at least when Orr's fist went into his mouth, it came out with teeth marks.

Ummmm...you may want to watch that again to see who went after whom. Gionta and Bourque should probably heed the saying "don't write cheques with your mouth that your body can't cash".

I've seen enough of Colton Orr to know not to get involved when he's swinging. I think Bourque also knows that now.

The Habs were pissed that they were getting destroyed. Either way, we'd hear complaining. The Leafs send out the fourth line it's "they're gooning it up". They send out the first line it's "They're trying to run up the score". And yes, Grabo hid behind the linesmen when he CLEARLY wanted to fight. Leafs fans don't need to take satisfaction in the physical play and fighting, they can take satisfaction in the 6-0 win.
Great so everybody who drives the net will be punished by Mighty Orr. Fine with me, if the refs aren't paid by your organization, you will then get some significant minutes on the PK. Which might not be a problem for you, you will get the satisfaction that Orr kicked somebody's ass again. Driving the net is still part of the game. I didn't see Gallagher roughing Reimer whatsoever.

What happened before is that Orr got pissed whether it was because he decided that getting a knee out was similar to seeing his stick being thrown or because Prust took Komarov by the neck yet at to deal with a tough Grabovski who wanted so much to fight Prust, 'cause we all know Grabovski would fight anybody as he already prooved in the past. And Gorges CLEARLY wanted to go with McLaren. 'Cause Gorges knows he's a good fighter and knows that McLaren was just a little finesse player that can't fight so Gorges knew he'd get the best of it (by the way, do disregard the fact that I already address the fact that McLarent was "nice" enough to not throw a whole lot of dangerous punches towards Gorges, see it's not all black or white). As far as satisfaction...euh sorry. Not happening. Compared the threads in here and the ones solely talking about your team's good performances and you'll see what wins. 'Cause you guys know that you have more chance to goon it up way more this year than destroying teams with your high-end talent. A talent that is more likely in Boston now than in Toronto. But hey....you were the best team tonight. Enjoy. You deserve it. Just hope you will be careful with your expectations though....
