So, do you think he stays with the big club for the rest of the year along with Kolzig, or do you think he goes back to Portland in the near future? Best move imho would be to keep him with the Caps, and work him into around 20 starts (which is basically a 50-50 split in games from here on out). What do you think will happen?

This is STRICTLY SPECULATION on my part (sorry for the caps, but I wanted to emphasize the point), but, if the team is out of contention come deadline...
possibly ...(nice, soothing italics)...Kolzig becomes much more tradeable (if that's even a word). Stana, the Caps' less-hyped tender prospect, has played well in the A, and Gherson isn't doing too poorly for the Attack. Daigneult is also in the mix.
If the Caps decide on a youth movement, it's not out of bounds to think they move Kolzig and have Stana and Ouellet fight it out for the job. Gherson is also playing as an overager, I believe, so if there is a trade of a goalie, they could sign him for Portland.
Goaltender is easily the Caps' deepest position, prospect-wise, and it would seem that the Caps would deal from there.
