6 or 7 times. Live. When I can follow his play directly. Which I have.

Olsen, Ruesgegger, and even Howse/Wahl have looked WAY better than Nemisz.

I had hight hopes for Nemisz, but something is definately up with him. Or should I say down?? Right now he is being outplayed by 2 ECHL callups and a couple of PTO's...

Leafs pass. Colborne got off to a slow start but is picking things up. 6'5" center that's still young. Still lots of hope.

They both suck. Colborne is just sucking less.

What is up with Nemiesz?

He is playing beyond brutal.

Always figured he would be a serviceable 3rd liner. However, when i watched him play, he didn't seem mean enough for his frame.

It might be the se thing that happened to Backlund last season: low confidence.

As a Flames fan, I'd take this and run.

Bigger centers almost always take more time to evolve. He just turned 23. If he's 25 and hasnt turned the corner, he'll be a bust. Nowhere near at this point. The next two years are big for him.

I'm not very high on Colbourne at all. He doesn't look like he will be ready for the big club next season an should be waiver eligible. But Nemisz doesn't help us with that. He is in the same position and has shown less potential..

Colborne's a Calgary boy, Nemisz is an Ontario kid. Both players were former 1st round picks in 2008 (Colborne -16, Nemisz - 25). Both players are close to - if not already - being labelled as busts. A change of scenery might benefit both.

Fair trade?
Nope.

Colbourne is doing fine at his age. He'll take some time in the AHL but we have the right personnel in development to make him functional. We have spent years on him - not trading him for anything other than a high quality center with top 6 potential.

I agree the Leafs should hold on to him a while longer, but I don't think his value is such that somebody is likely to trade "a high quality center with top 6 potential" for him. So far this year, in 41 games with the Marlies he has six goals and 19 assists, very close to the same scoring pace he had last year, only with significantly fewer goals. He's currently tied for 97th in the AHL in scoring. So where exactly is the cause for optimism?
