Pretty much every coyote 1st round selection from 1996 to 2007... I'm including Turris, Wheeler, Mueller, Eager, and Briere even though they have NHL jobs on other teams. Eager may be the only one who didn't want to be traded. Hanzal, Sjostrom, and Summers are the only 3 who have been any good for us. Even our 2nd round selections were garbage for us during that period.

Misread OP, sorry. Have to agree with you on Veilleux, total dissapointment.

Chet Pickard. To think we could have had Erik Karlsson.

Tyler Cuma? No one wants him, he's injury prone.

McCollum, Kindl for the Wings.

Marcus Johansson hasn't shined this year but is far from bust though.

A defensive defensman who's playing great in his own end and is dominating the defensive zone with his presence is a bust because he doesn't put up points on the board. I love it when people who didn't watch someone play base their opinion on going through the box scores.

Hawks its a tossup between:

Dylan Olsen - thought he was going to be a rock of a stay at home d-man. Turns out he just cant skate and is too slow for the NHL, and possibly AHL too, its that bad.

Kyle Beech - Everyone thought he was a boom or bust pick when he was taken and he still is to this day. The skill set with toughness is still there so its too early to completely write him off like Olsen who just cant skate but he has not matured into the player they were hoping for.

Tyler Cuma for Minnesota, there aren't many busts still in the Rangers' system.

HM: Matt Kassian. 2nd round, Lucic without the hockey.

BTW, you could make 2 lines and 1 D pairing just with DR draft busts. Guy was atrocious at drafting.
DR All-Bust Team
Gillies-Sheppard-Pouliot
Kassian-O'Sullivan-Veilleux

Cuma-Thelen
DR All-Success Team
Bouchard-Koivu-Gaborik

Leddy-Burns
Scandella

Harding

Tangradi for Tedenby could be a good trade, but I don't think Lou does that within the division. This is coming from the GM who wouldn't give the Penguins a 5th round pick for Skoula, instead making Burke acquiring him and then giving Burke a 5th round pick for him.
I agree with this post. It makes the most sense for a deal valuewise. What team do we use as the intermediary to get this deal done?

as an oiler fan, I was going to say MPS because he looks to be turning into a 3rd line decent defensive player. I expected more but......

I went to hockeydb.com and checked out who was drafted 10th overall. in the 20 years before his draft, the biggest impact players drafted 10th overall were Antropov and Dvorak. Two OK guys but there has not been a great player drafted 10th overall in the last 20 years.

I guess the oilers might end up covering their bet with MPS.

Kevin Veilleux is a huge disappointment mainly because of injuries. He has the size and skills to become an eventual top 6 forward but cannot stay healthy. Or in his current situation supended for racial slurs to an opponent.

I guess it would be currently on waivers Dana Tyrell. He would have been a very good 3rd liner if he didn't lose a ton of time tearing the same ACL twice.

Wasn't he a -9 for the most part of this season, please excuse me if I'm wrong.

Certainly David Fischer on the Montreal Canadiens and probably Danny Kristo

But who knows, Kristo might rebound one day...

Huh. I watch quite a few ND games especially when they play against the Gophers and Kristo has looked good.

For the Sharks, take your pick:

Lukas Kaspar (#22, 2004), or
Ty Wishart (#16, 2006)

But don't even get me started on all of the players the Sharks would have had if DW didn't make a habit of trading up or trading away a bunch of their 1st and 2nd-round picks.
