Do you think Brendan Shanahan could justify it?

I just don't get the disregarding of him putting his hand/forearm right over his face while jerking his head around, but whatever Most Habs fans will defend all of it to the death. I'm fine with it.

Fair enough, and we're both entitled to our opinions. If he gets suspended, then you'll get what you wanted.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I look forward to the next matchup, hopefully with less controversy.

Well, I think if Shanahan thinks there's enough evidence to suggest a bite, Gabovsky will see some kind of disciplinary action. I have been wrong before, but that's what I think.

What video are you watching? I see bourque grab Orr's head with both hands from behind, pull him down, pull off his helmet, and then he jabs at Orr's face with his glove still on. It's not a very good punch, but nevertheless.

Regardless of if there was a punch thrown by Bourque, you can't honestly say that he wasn't engaging Orr and that it wasn't an altercation before the punch was thrown. If I'm correct, then Orr was completely justified in throwing the punch he did.

How do you know what Grabovski was feeling when Max did that? It was cheap from Pac, period.

After Orr's helmet comes off Bourque may, have been reaching to grab Orr..or it may have been a weak punch. Any way you slice it, Orr is going to interpret that as a punch and respond in kind.

I am a Canadiens fan and I totally agree. Stupid thing for Patches to do and even more embarrassing that he is going to cry about mouth marks afterward when he shoved his bare arm INTO Grabovski's mouth. We got owned, who cares, move on.

Probably. Still, he was trying to do it within the rules, and a lot of the time when you hit players within the rules you're likely still trying to injure them, at least a little.

Orr felt Plekanec did something disrespectful and looked to pay him back in full. The game allows for that as long as you don't take it over the top. If Orr gets him with a shoulder to the upper chest and plows through him, Plekanec probably feels it for a while and takes a bit of time to get up, but it'd be completely legal.

I like the Avatar change by the way. Nice selection.

Would of been nice to see Grabovski fight Prust.. It can go both ways.

It's supposed to be a gif of Orr punching out Bourque, but sadly it's too big to post the whole thing.

I'll live with the image of Orr standing over Bourque's falling body.

I think Orr was just out of control and lost it. That's what i think, it happens. I never thought Orr would drop the gloves and try and fight gionta of all people.

No they don't.

The 6 Canadian teams combined account for 45% of league revenue last time I checked.

Funny because that guy who took the bath salts apparently ripped off pieces of that guys face with his hands. Maybe Pacioretty read that report and tried it on Grabovski??

Sure, there's no altercation. But Pacioretty face washed Komarov at the same time. Perhaps that would've led to an altercation anyways.. You're hypothetical point in your original post was erroneous however.
