Which guys? Please explain? Only one person mentioned that and every other person has said he would not sign here. Learn to read or is that something they don't teach Boston fans?

I remember that renaud lavoie ( i know that's not the best source) said on rds (Monday)

That he had talk with Shanahan's agent and he said to him that Shanahan will make his choice in the next 48 hours (by Monday) So today seems the DAY!

Eklund take a chance on Montreal, but i think he will stay in Detroit

Thats not how things work; titles should not be missleading or else the board would fall into Kaos.

yawn she is so full of ****, probably an attention *****, didn't she call bruins had signed shanahan in your latest thread filled with "insight". That Nashville trade or the dozen of others threads like getting Mikko Koivu etc. You shouldn't pay attention to what she says borat.

Yep I just realized that. My fault it was only one guy that said that. Sorry for the confusion.

actually EVEN 6M would be an option... not because it's not a lot... but because it's not FOR LONG!!!

frikkin contracts lately have all been for 5 years.

I like Arnott... but considering his "attidute" etc. 5 year is A LOT. and in 5 years, he'll be 36... what tells you that he'll still be in shape?

Shanny is still in shape, still scoring, etc. within 2 years, it's a safe bet that he wont become instantly bad. he might not have the same impact at the end of the two years... but at least it's ONLY 2 years.

And you said "Wow you guys think you gunna get Bergeron lmao? Good Luck with that I'm sure we're gunna let him go that easily."

Then edited your post to say "Wow one of you guys..."

And even that poster doesn't necessarily think we're going to get Bergeron. He merely suggested that money would be better spent signing Bergeron to a $4.75M per year, 6 year, offer sheet, than on paying Shanahan $5.2M.

Yes I did edit my post after I realized it was only one guy that said that. Thanks for pointing that out.

Logic like that is exactly what is wrong with HFBoards. Misleading threads don't lead to good discussion, they prevent it.

Well that's irresponsible.
Threads with intentionaly missleading titles have a tendency to be/and should be locked.

But still it would be fun if the habs mad him an outlandish contract offer. And then the bruins would have to equal the offer. I would love messing with bostons cap a bit.

How missleading is the title really with Eklund in the title? What is the percentage of signatures/trades that he gets right? Odds are his odds are just as bad or perhaps slightly better than if you or i started our own blog with rumours....

look at it that way and the title is just as relevent as "I'm reporting Shanahan in Montreal..."

Eklund doesnt even say shanahan in Montreal he says montreal could jump into the sweepstakes today. Saying shanahan in montreal makes it seem as if Eklund says that he has signed in montreal which is not the case.

WOW 5.2m?!

Id sign him for 3 max, he should stop kidding himself, he aint the young Shanny anymore, and the only reason why he had 40 goals last season was because of the players he played with.

Even if it's true, Gainey and Carbo have connections with Arnott, and Saku is a good friend of Selanne......So if we follow the trend, and Shanahan is a great friend of Muller....you can bet that he won't signed with us.....
