Interesting that Comrie was signed to a SPC and not a PTO. Wonder if that means Worcester isn't expecting Petrecki back once his 'conditioning stint' is over.

Larry Robinson said he's NHL ready, who's going to argue with him? He's also a direct replacement for Murray (hard hitting defensive dman, except Petrecki can skate some). Make me think Murray is even more likely gone.

Even if (big if) Murray is traded, Petrecki is still #8 on the depth chart.
NHL ready or not, he doesn't have a spot on the SJ blueline.

A couple of pictures...the first is yesterday from the end of my driveway looking across the cul-de-sac at my neighbor's house. The second was about 35 minutes ago from my front door looking in the same direction. As you can tell it is still snowing heavily.

I was just complaining about ice on my windshield going out to get Starbucks

In my defense, that rarely happens here and it's usually certainly gone by 8:30 in the morning and I would have just made a cup if I knew it was like that, but I had already gotten dressed and was ready to go.

Still I'm a wimp. Good luck out there. That looks brutal.

I really like the windshield wipers being up. Never seen that before, but it makes sense.

When ice is in the forecast doing that is pretty much essential or the wipers freeze to the windshield

Just a heads-up; the silent auctions (read: second & third tier players) all went for around three or four hundred bucks. And the live auctions all began at five hundred, with a couple reaching over a thousand. So... good luck.

Yeah, I went to check out the winning bids, and I think Lessard was tops at the silent auction for $425. If the ranges are the same tomorrow, I might go for one.

Monday is usually an off day, but with no games I suspect they'll practice. I'm sure if you asked Roy he'd simply shrug and tell you that they'll deal with it the best they can.

Happy Birthday! Hopefully you'll score one of those awesome jerseys.

How are these afternoon games anyway; what's the attendance like? I was thinking about checking it out because i've got a free ticket and i can be home in time for The Walking Dead! But i'd probably have to cruise solo.

Thanks man! I ended up winning a jersey in the end. Had a great bday. Spent quite a bit more than i wanted haha but friends and family chipped in to help me out. I'd say there were between 3k and 4k today. They lost, but had and awesome time!

The defense looks real solid right now for the #WorSharks

Groulx (NHL 2-way): Very good puck moving defenseman, excellent on the power play, and good enough defensively in his own end.
Doherty (NHL ELC): Injured
Tennyson (NHL ELC): Solid two-way defenseman and gets better every game
Acolatse (NHL ELC): Injured
Irwin (NHL 2-way): Solid two-way defenseman on the cusp of being an everyday NHL player.
Brennan (AHL PTO): Very good in his own end, and moves the puck well for a guy with limited offensive skills.
Petrecki (NHL 2-way): He's really come a long way (and he had a long way to go). Has been mostly solid this season. Like Banwell, moves the puck well for a guy with limited offensive skills.
Urban (AHL SPC): I've said it before, remember this kid's name. He can flat out play. Now that he won't be forced into top pairing minutes I expect his development at this level will go much faster.
Comrie (AHL SPC): Don't know much about him other than he's supped to be a lot like Urban and the Worcester hockey ops is in love with this guy.

About time!!!!!!
And yes, the defense looks good - will be even better when the two injured guys can play again, especially Acolatse.

From what I understand on Comrie - he's not fun to play against, can play very tough minutes against other teams top lines and has a very, very good shot. He also has a bit of a temper

He'll fit right in on Worcester then. I was worried they were getting soft with Frazer gone.
