I was shocked that Prust didn`t take care of the coward Lucic. Prust must have a bad hand or some injury.....SO White is inserted the next night. Ott was gooning Gionta so White takes care of him. I LOVED it !! That`s what his role is....First of all Ott should have received an interference penalty and/or their bench should have received a call for sticking a hand into the mix from the bench......White should not have gotten 4 min.......We were not happy that we got pushed around last year like a bumch of school girls and now we`re not happy because we are fighting back........I love it !!!!
As if having Ryan White in the lineup would temper Lucic. Laughable.

I'm not happy with his decision to keep Gorges and Subban away from each other. I really just don't see the reasoning unless Gorges doesn't want to play with him. If that's the case Gorges needs to go, but I doubt it.

Therrien needs to wake up and stop pissin' around. He's not putting them in the best position to be successful.

Well a dumb player would have find excuses for his actions. He woudl have said that Ott said to go and eventually didn't. Would have said that he was there to protect himself and his teamates and so on. What he did instead was to immediately know that he made a mistake....again. He knows it. Not that dumb to me. But a kid learning his role in a tough environment. What I suspect will happen is that we are going to kill every ounce of agitating he has, which will eventually make him lose his confidence and then he'll be out of here. I hate to see this happening to a whole lot of young players we had...White is also in that category. Fortunately for us, not as talented as most of the others were so he won't come back and bite us...yet, will end up pretty serviceable. Understand we are not there yet, but pretty sure we might not be that far back.

If sitting him once more will finally make him understand....Well. Great. And I'll congratulate MT for doing the right move. But this hasn't been proven yet.
So if I chase a butterfly off of a 2 story building, fall and break my legs, it's not stupid so long as I don't make excuses ?

Sorry for the bad analogy, but this sounds like crap to me. I sure as hell hope that White recognizes it was stupid and is not making excuses. That would be pushing the stupidity to a new high.

One thing I can't get over is having wingers consistently take Faceoffs.

Granted, we're not winning many as it stands, but come on.

It's mostly because the main centres keep getting kicked out.

That's been a huge problem so far. Particularly DD.

He needs to learn.

Is it really a better idea to have Cole, a winger, take them?

It's no secret that no one on our team is great at faceoffs, let alone good. Whether it's a center or winger taking the faceoffs doesn't matter in the end since we aren't winning them. If Price could come out in net and be good or better at them then I'd bring his arse out of the net for every faceoff (), whatever it takes to start winning the majority of them.

I'm hoping that MT see's faceoffs as a major issue that this team needs to work on, and will bring in the required help. Whether it's Perreault or whoever, the management need someone.

I hate how he's still afraid to take timeouts like Martin was.

When the opposition scores 2 goals in short succession you take a timeout. You need one later ? Be creative and do a goalie change.

I was practically screaming for a timeout after it was 2-0, and then 3-0. I don't understand it either - what's the point of having a timeout if you're not going to use it before the game potentially gets out of hand?

We have never had a coach who can use a timeout properly...should have been called at 59 seconds in when they gave up the first one...once again everyone is in disbelief they weren't ready??

I was in Montreal last weekend, and witnessed one of the best 1st periods these guys have ever played, when they outshot the Sabres 15-1...................where did that team go? Or were the Sabres hungover??

Maybe a timeout costs a coach money... Who knows.

I wouldn't be surprised if one game the habs were rolling and Therrien took a timeout.

Here's the problem that I see
You can have all four center's out there practicing all you want on faceoffs against each other, but when 2 **** faceoff people faceoff, hard to improve when the person opposite to you sucks as much as you. Hard to set a higher standard when all your samples are already low

I always thought that they should hire a guy like Perreault as a faceoff coach.

As mentioned, it does seem like an obvious move and a perfect fit. We don't know if they have looked into it or not. It's quite possible that they would have gone down this road and Perreault turned them down.
