It's not as easy as that, Quick proved how wrong that thinking is last year.

The puck still has to travel through the middle of the ice, even elevated.

So a Goalie can still cover that.

There are about 12 Guys in the NHL that can consistently pick Corners. None of those guys plays for the Kings.

Howard's performance reminds me of that 50 save performance by Quick in Detroit. I'd imagine it reminds Howard of that as well.

38-20 advantage in SOG
27-18 advantage in face off wins

And yet we're trailing.

Yep, our problem is and has always been finishing.

This. To beat the kings wingers, lay low and flat.

To beat quick. Shoot it UP.

Not really. He is correct about some sloppiness on those little plays. Those are little mistakes that NHL players shouldn't be making.

Pretty sure Milbury is just playing devils advocate. To some how make the show interesting.

It's no secret the Kings have dominated this game.

Had a Hack like LOLBarbra been in net, this game would be 6-2.

I wish he worked for SJ as their GM so I could laugh at how bad that ****** ****ing organization would be. Well...worse than they already are. Wonder if ANYONE would ever give him a GM job again. Would be hysterical to watch.

Kopitar's dump in just got an unlucky tip, he was purposely not trying to dump it in hard, because he doesn't want the team bouncing back quickly, wants them to go skate for it. Gagne's shot was good and there were two players in the vicinity of the crease, the rebound just didn't go their way, and puck luck? The Kings have played pretty well, and he emphasizes sloppiness to the dismay of his co-workers, let alone fans.

$50 says that the Red Wings score within 2 mins of the puck drop in the 3rd.

Those small plays helped win the Kings the Cup. It's been missing pretty much all year so far.

Anyone have some extra money? Maybe buy the Kings a goal.

I agree Howard has looked great, but like somebody already said, we just don't have the finish right now. Just need to clean it up. The goals will come if we keep doing what were doing. Hopefully with detroit playing last night, fatigue will come into effect in the 3rd

Simone Gagne now has gone 28 games without a Goal(including last year).

I would say Gagne is due.

There's no way we should lose this game. They played last night, we've been grinding it out in their zone all game. We have to capitalize in the 3rd.

We could really use a win in Detroit. The boys need to start winning if they expect to make the playoffs.
