Timeline for a Comrie trade

Just out of curiosity, I thought maybe we could find out WHEN everyone thought that Comrie would be traded.

Tomorrow is December 1- just for future reference.

I voted for 2 weeks because the rumors have begun to pick up a little steam.

i'd say nearer the draft deadline or the trade deadline as Lowe may be able to get more for him or maybe a package of Oates and Comrie to the east for a bucket load of stuff like lastime (for Oates).

I think if Lowe is smart he will wait until he can get a full return for Comrie. That might happen closer to the deadline when teams with good players on them are out of playoff contention. For example: If Nashville is out of the race you think we could get Legwand?

no most deadline deals are to drop pay-roll to a team in cup contention and Legwand has a very reasonable price tag I don't see why they would move him for Comrie or anyone else for that matter. I would expect people like Damphousse, Jagr, and Straka to be dealt. My guess is if Comrie is not moved before or during the all-star break we will probably keep him till the off-season.

definitely near or at the trade deadline when teams are looking for that extra something to either get them into the playoffs or make a prolonged playoff run.

Lowe might wait til the 2004 draft to try & get another 1st rd pick or at the very least be able to move into a top 5 draft position.

Meh - who cares for now - wake me up when this soap opera is over.

Is there any doubt though that MC has made a complete mess of his career? Nope he and and his agent have done a fine job this year.

Isn't that the truth. I am totally sick of the whole situation but I still check the threads every couple of days to see where he might be going.

But I will be glad when he is gone because until he is obviously we are not getting an accurate representation of our team.

I'm getting sick of the whole thing too. I just thought this might be a different angle to explore. Something new.

I said next summer because that is the further answer possible. I don't really care anymore what happens with Comrie. I have forgotten about that bum.

I found it to be a refreshing poll (on comrie) compared to all those "dumb trade idea" ones.

The trade depends on whether the Oilers can pull out of this slump or not.

I very well might. Since they haven't yet, it gets interesting.

Whoever said before the end of Dec. stand up and be recognized. 2 weeks was pretty close though.
