Their goal last offseason was to add toughness along with the rest of the Northeast Division. I guess it's not working out too well for them.

Considering his cap hit, I have to think his trade value is low. The Caps' best bet is to get him either back in form, or find a way to adapt his game.

Yeah according to Don Cherry the goons are the real reason they're doing so well this year.

It's embarrassing. I'm sure one of Chips or Superstar plays Monday. Orr may miss a game tho,,that was a dirty knee he attempted.

Habs fans and Leafs fans are really going at it on the main board. I guess because the Leafs have been so bad for so long, you forget how much those two teams really hate each other.

One of them tried to make a game thread about it like 2 or 3 days ago on the main boards.

It's like a bunch of 10 year olds going at it.

Given that its a home game for Leafs, it should be a smooth sail for Flyers.

Yes, thats how Leafs roll. 1-4 on home ice I think.

I doubt the Flyers home record is much better. They've struggled at home recently, largely because Lavi's use of last change is often questionable.

4-1-1 is pretty good, imo. I watched most of Flyers-Canes game today and liked how L. Schenn played. Glad he worked out for you guys.

I actually had no idea our home record was that good. I must be used to last season. The perfect storm for the Flyers was noon start at home...it was basically an instant loss.

I really like the fact we have two threads in about 5 rows from each other with the same exact name lol. Luke Schenn is really got the Flyers board in a craze right now.

Between them and the kessel thread I thought I was on the Leafs board for a second. But then I didn't see a thread claiming "Kadri's the next Doug Gilmour" and quickly realized it was the Flyers board.

Curious, what do you think it would take to get Barrie/Elliot here? Would it take more or less than to get Rundblad? Both are projected to be very good PMD. Or possibly Pysyk?

Judging by the amount of talk on the main board I'd say I missed an interesting game between the Leafs and Habs even though the score was 6-0.

Nick Kypreos ‏@RealKyper

#Leafs Grabovski will have a 4pm #NHL disciplinary hearing 2day for what appears to be a biting motion on the arm of #Canadiens Pacioretty

If Kings continue to suck, any way we could trade and fit (cap-wise and roster) Gagne?

the players I am interested on the Kings are likely not available. ie. Voynov and Clifford.

If I'm looking at it right. Cap geek has us with about $1.6M cap space available.

unless they chose to go to the upper limit and use Pronger's LTIR. That is still an option.

If so, I'd love Gagne back here, especially if we are really going for the playoffs. Voynov I think is very untouchable right now. I mean, the only PMD from out west that are really probably willing to shop is Yandle, and I know he will cost a pretty penny I'm sure the Flyers don't want to spend.
