IMO, whatever injuries he has (both now and last season) are due his weight. I know he's gotten in better shape since last year, but he's still got a way to go.

Last year was his knee
I am willing to bet this year was his back

Coach Noel: says you would think Byfuglien would be ready to go for Tuesday. But wouldn't commit to it being definite.

"Byfuglien Back"

Asked if he thought he would be ready to play Tuesday night when the Philadelphia Flyers pay a visit, Byfuglien said: "As of right now, I think so. Good to go.

We don't even know what the injury is; he came into camp in great shape. We are all entitled to our opinions but they should be informed ones.

From what I was told, I can't discard the idea that he was suspended internally for 5 games. "Wax in the ears" is not too far off. I hope it's completely false.

Big Buff is a beast out on the ice....also due to his weight. Good with the bad.

So now comes the decision, who sits? Redmond? Really hope not, no way he can sit. Postma? I would surely hope not. Clitsome? He better be.

I am going to be pretty mad if Redmond or Postma sit and Clitsome plays. If either of these kids sit so Clitsome can play, Noel should have his head examined.

Enstrom - Byfuglien
Hainsey - Redmond
Stuart - Postma

Then when Bogosian returns, possibly within the next week,

Enstrom - Byfuglien
Hainsey - Bogosian
Stuart - Redmond/Postma

I see no logical reason why Grant Clitsome should see the ice over any of these guys.

A lot of speculation going around regarding Byfuglien, and in my opinion, I think it's just crap because TNSE is so tight lipped on injuries that it has caused people to talk and speculate.

Indeed.

Too much "purple monkey dishwasher" goes around easily in hockey mad small markets

I honestly hate this kind of crap too. Not picking on anyone who has mentioned it, but the fact that rumors like this proliferate makes us look very small marked and gossipy. All people have been talking about since the injury is how it could somehow be something bad boy Buff did outside the realm of hockey.

One point I will make though: If TNSE was more forthcoming about injuries, then rumors like this wouldn't grow legs.

This is a little OT, but why is the NHL so tight-lipped about injuries? IMO, if hockey wants to get bigger in the U.S. they should be more accomodating to the sports betting industry, and that means being open about injuries. The NFL clearly understands this.

Clearly the "wax in the ears" quote is a reference to Buyfuglien being given a five game internal suspension for not listeneing to Noel's rules about beekeeping in the locker room. His crazy attempts to cross Apis dorsata and Apis florea was an unmitigated disaster andthe rouge colony in Slaters Jock were responsible for both pain and suffering when Noel's supply of losenges were consumed by the bees for royal jelly!

Buff is sure to be traded in the next few days for an excellent topline centre who's work with iguana breeding will be more acceptable in the locker room.

or maybe he pulled his groin(common injury in thios crazy shortened season workload) and took a few games off to rest and recover so it wouldn't nag him all season long.

i figure it's about 50/50 for either of those scenarios.(sarcasam)

Just a reminder that we have specific site rules dealing with outlandish claims of insider information.

If you're going to speculate that Byfuglien missed these games due to something other than injury, fine, speculate all you wish. Anything that discusses rumours and inside information is going to be deleted, unless it's reported by a vetted insider or the mainstream media.

I have an honest question for you based on many of your previous posts. If this was Evander Kane missing 5 games would you be more inclined to believe these rumors?

My source is the source of all sources

Actually I have no sources, nor did I ever claim to have insider info.
