Teams have figured us out.

The problem is WE haven't figured ourselves out.

Teams own the puck against us. Every team. When will we become the hammer and not the nail?

I hated how Krueger kept trotting Smyth out there despite the penalties and his overall struggles. Based on Paajarvi's postgame comments here it doesn't sound like Ralph was too mad in between the 2nd and 3rd periods and I don't like that either.

I love Smyth for what he has done in his previous years, but he's just stinking up the joint now. I hope when Jones returns he takes Smyth's spot.

At least Ryan Smyth is on his way to a team record .... most stupid penalties in a season!

They just outshot us 40-14 or something. Think about that for a second.

COLUMBUS did that.

Somewhere BBO is high-fiving himself after defending the MPS one-timer just yesterday. Good call Bryan

Dubnyk is serving up the crow night after night. I'll have mine with a little salsa today please.

lmao at the posters calling for Hemsky and Gagner to be traded. They obviously haven't figured out that a bunch of high draft choices doesn't win games. Without those two guys we have like half the number of paltry goals we have actually managed to score.

If big "if" the oilers bail on MPS it better be worth it, cause I have a feeling we will regret it.

Dude has the skill set just needs the CONFIDENCE.

Was a wicked shot

This was probably his worst game this season. Wasn't this bad this season. Perhaps he came back to soon.

Also, not sure if this stat was posted but over on the Jackets board, a member posted.
Oil had 3 shots in last 30 minutes...

how many goals on those 3?

2

I was shocked to see him on the ice after his third penalty. I just don't get that move at all.

We're definitely regressing. Over the previous two seasons Columbus games were still free space spots on the Bingo card. There's something seriously wrong here. Is it coaching? Chemistry? It's probably a combination of things and Krueger had better figure it out.

<mod edit>

The problem is this team can play amazing for a number of games and get us worked up and excited and then all of a sudden they will just play like total - - - - and it makes no sense.

What did Doug Weight say to the room back in the day that made us go on that like 9-0-1 run???

ONT got slapped around a bit on the GDT but I agree with him.

That result will do more to hide the problem than bring it to the forefront.

Just because we picked up a win is no reason to forget that we were disgustingly bad tonight.

If we weren't getting top-5 goaltending, this bottom-5 team would actually be bottom-5 in the standings.

I like Krueger but this is the worst coached Oilers team I've ever seen given the talent level.

Ever.

If this team doesn't start improving, we will see a first overall refuse to put on the jersey.

So what's NOT being mentioned here, and I'm not using this as an excuse.

Oilers are playing second half of an AWAY back to back schedule, after playing one of the tightest checking teams in the WC yesterday afternoon. Columbus has had at least 2 days off and is playing at home.
