I sit the player least likely to make a costly clanger at the wrong time.

Me personally? I'd do the following,

Enstrom - Byfuglien
Hainsey - Bogosian
Stuart - Postma/Redmond

I'd swap Postma and Redmond in and out. With both as rookies, they'd split games, or whoever is playing better gets the ice, plus they're both still fully apart of the team, practicing, etc. These guys are ready for the NHL, I'd really like to keep them both here.

And, I expect we see more injuries. They'll get their time, I believe.

Problem with that is I can also find one video example of something similar for the following:
Clitsome
Postma
Redmond
Enstrom
Hainsey
Stuart
Bogosian
Weber
Lidstrom
etc...

I believe the saying goes: **** happens
If you want to talk about who has **** happen more often, everything points out so far to that being Clitsome as he allows more SA and GA per min than any of our D... while being the second most sheltered D we have.

I said least likely, when obviously I meant most likely, so find a way to calculate your "**** happens" statistic and sit the player most likely to have **** happen to them. Because **** happening is what costs games in hockey.

And I showed that the extremely large increase Clitsome has in SA/min and GA/min points out it to being predominately Clitsome

Bryz has been awesome so far, but we assume no way he plays the back to back vs Jets as he has only had 1 game off. Was looking like ****ing Leighton which I would bet my house on the jets as he isn't ahl calibre, but he is hurt and looks like Boosh will play. Combine Boosh , Flyers record vs Jets/Thrash and in TO tomm, Jets are looking good

We seem to play this team pretty tough. I'm hoping that trend continues.

Work your ass off in the AHL. Finally catch your break because of injuries. Grab ahold of your chance and play lights out. Get sent back down strictly because of contract status.

We hear all the time in training camps that if a guy plays his way onto the team, then he deserves to take that spot. Why should this be any different?

I guess I can live with Redmond going down, but they sure as hell better sit him down and be completely forthright about the decision making process.
Actually its good for his development...

Now that he has a taste of what the league is all about im sure there are areas that he knows that he still needs to work on. Sending him down gives him the playing time he needs. Being a college player he needs to get used to playing a pro schedule and he will be playing 28 - 30 mins a night down the stretch. That cant be nothing but good for his future

He knows he is in the coaches good books so going down isnt a demotion its just part of the process

I still want to hear a full arena "Universe" chant for Bryz.

UUUUUUU-NIIIIII-VEEEEERSEEEEE!

It would ring out well in that taunting refrain...
But someone pointed to us likely seeing a b/up goalie.

Oh well.

I'm feeling pretty decent about this game. Flyers have suspect D and their forwards are human this year. The only x factor is which goalie shows up to play.

He's not 20 years old. He played 4 years in college and a season and a half in the AHL, being an all-star both years. He's paid his dues as far as I'm concerned. Are we going to let our prospects "bake" until they are 25 or 26 now? It's not like he just turned pro this month.

Maybe the sample size is small but I see a player that is good enough and confident enough to be in the NHL. He's got nothing to prove in the AHL.

Many have been saying that the reason we've had issues winnineg lately is because of our injured defense, so I'm surprised there's so much debate on who should sit.

I didn't know Bogo was back for this game though, that's awesome but I wonder how much ice time he's going to get? What's his conditioning like?

I am excited to see just how much the PP kicks in to gear with Buff.

Bogo is not back, at least not yet.

Buff is back (most likely).

If Buff is back for the Flyers game, this is what I'd like our D to look like:

Enstrom - Buff
Hainsey - Redmond
Stuart - Postma

I can't remember who plays LHD and RHD, so swap accordingly.

Good. I also feel really good about those D pairings. If we get another PP in the Flyers game, Postma needs to either move the puck faster or get off of the QB. The Flyers are too skilled one on one and will create another turnover like in the Toronto game.

I had a bunch of teams out of the playoffs at the start of the year but Philly was not one of them. If they dont make the top eight, we will make the top eight as I think that will be the kicker, unless we win the SE of course

Jets win 5-3. Montoya starts. Clitsome sits.

Third game of the year for me, 1-1 thus far.

Could it be....?

Jets defenceman Zach Bogosian also took part in this morning’s optional, and there’s a chance he could play Tuesday as well.

“Bogosian needs to practise with us a little bit before we get going,” Noel said. “We want to make sure we give him an opportunity to succeed.

“It’ll be a day-to-day decision with him, and we’ll go from there. So I know you’re going to ask me will he be in the game on Tuesday. I can’t answer that question today.”

Surprising, didn't see that article.

I can't imagine they'd bring him back this quickly after he just started practicing..

I'd have no problem with it if he was though.
