...for finally doing something. You said you were gonna "make a splash" and you proved you were a man of your word. Many of us doubted you, including myself, but you stayed the course and now you have given us a chance to actually contend for something. Finally some real NHLers...sigh. Time will tell if these are the right guys or if the Demitra/O'Sullivan trade was a good idea, but you at least are being proactive. Way to step up to the plate.
Now just get Gabby locked up long term and I promise I'll take it a little easier on you.
Minnesota Wild, playoff contender...I definitely like the sound of that.
I'm am still very sore on the fact that we traded O'sullivan.
otherwise I am pleased.
Are you still sore about the O'sullivan trade now that Gaborik has signed? I was majorly p*ssed off that he traded O'sullivan, but now that Gaborik is signed, it's all ok in my eyes...
And trust me, Dimitra(sp?) had alot to do with it... Not to mention the other big FA signings...Way to go DR! I doubted you, but you came through. Now all thats left is to reserve my spot for the Stanley Cup parade route!

I was mad about the trade at first, thought the sole reason for getting Demitra was just to make Gabby happy. But after seeing the FAs the Wild brought in the trade started making sense. Sure we lost a great prospect for the future, but now we have playoff caliber team that could make some noise in the postseason.
Heading into free agency, I wasn't expecting the Wild to be this active. Figured DR would just sign a local player (Cullen or Parrish), resign a d-man (Kuba or Mitchell), and bring in a couple boom or bust "projects" to take up roster spots. I was shocked when they started signing guys like Johnsson, Parrish, Carney, and now Radio. Good job DR.
