Further, a team can afford smurfs when it has Corey Perry, Daniel Winnick, Teemu Selanne, Ryan Getlzaf, and Bobby Ryan in the top-6.
If Teemu Selanne was on this team, you would be screaming to trade him for the double sin of being both old and not overtly physical.

Leland Irving (on waivers last week) looks way better than Budaj.

He's not on this team.

Obviously, given a completely different situation, I would suggest completely different ideas.

Selanne is a quasi-institution in Anaheim, he was there for their cup win and has been there for a while. He is still productive at his age. Finally, Anaheim is a contender. They are 1st or 2nd in the western conference, and have just defeated the mighty St-Louis Blues in a well-fought game.

Tyrell is the guy I liked. But maybe I'm just remembering him too much from junior and haven't paid close enough to him in the NHL, especially post-injuries.

lol What an ending to the Kings - Wings game. I love that the Kings lost but that was brutal. Not sure Wings deserved the win, but man they still have talent on that team.

That ending was awesome. Kings score with 52 seconds left and the Wings score with 4 seconds left. Craziness.

Devils beat Pittsburgh for a second time in a row, we beat the Devils but yet the Laffs spanked us. WTF is going on?

I don't think you need a blueprint for 'sucking'

If he did, we're going to suffer for quite some time before becoming the blackhawks. I realize many people see that as the way to go, though. They should, however stop complaining about the team sucking if they do, in fact want high draft picks and to be the embarrassment of the league for 3-4 years.

I hope Bergy has another solution that's a compromise. Playoffs, while drafting amazingly even if not top 14.

Try 7 years. The Blackhawks struggled from 2000 until Bill Wartz' death.

I'm curious, what things are they doing down there that we don't see that can be deemed 'crazy'?
