Sam Gagner to Anaheim

Since he's always the subject of trade proposals, what would it take to get him on Anaheim?

Maybe something around Sbisa or Vatanen, assuming Fowler and Lindholm return soon

The Oilers would need an NHL center in return, so I don't think ANA would be a good fit.

Anaheim is one of the few teams I think Gagner would fit well on, actually.

the Oil are paper thin at center..if we're trading Gags, need a center back

Not good trading partners. We both need centers. (after trading Gagner we would)

Unless Anaheim has a great offer we'd keep him. I'd love Sbisa but that wouldn't cut it.

Yep, that kills any chance for sure.

Gagner is probably a good fit for the Ducks since they already have size with Getzy as the 1C, and size on the wings as well.

However, to trade Gagner for a dman it would mean we need a serious backup plan at centre, and likely another deal in place with someone else as well.

Only if you promise to sign Robert Nilsson and reunite the kid line of '07/'08.

He's fitting in very well on the Oilers with 13 points in 12 games. But he had a multi point game last night so I believe HF would only consider that 11 points in 12 games

I'd be open to moving Gagner without getting a 2C back, but that would probably guarantee we finish bottom 5 yet again.

They way he has been playing he could get a nice return so wait for him to start being an average player again and then trade for him.

Ducks don't currently need a center anymore with Ryan playing so well there. We need a top line LW for Getz and Perry more. Ducks are set at center for now.

Getz
Ryan
Koivu
Bonino
Rakkel
Holland.

Unless Ryan starts struggling there ducks won't look for a center.

I'd love Luca Sbisa in Edmonton and value wise for Sam Gagner that's probably in the ballpark. Unless they could trade Hemsky/Paajarvi for a C it wouldn't make sense for Edmonton based on how poor they are up the middle.
