This winter hasn't actually been that bad. I'm supposed to get two feet and I haven't seen a six inch snow storm in about 3 years..

If it goes to a SO, the cows will miss Lorenzo Brown's quickness. He'd be their go-to guy for sure.

EDIT: Looks like they bought some advertising time during their big game tonight:

Apparently at some point during tonight's game, the Crazies chanted "How's your grandma?" or something to that effect at Tyler Lewis, whose grandmother passed away not too long ago. And they always talk about how classless Maryland fans are? Wow.

It looks like band. If so they should all be kicked our of Cameron. He's 18 and has a tight family. Lost his grandmother a week ago. That's so classless.

I think at that moment they were chanting "past your bedtime".

Um no. And confirmed by numerous people there.

And heard by athletes.

@rpurvis_0: Duke fans are some disrespectful clowns. Who chants about a kids grandmother who passed away recently ?

@Rich1Howell: Duke fans like to be tough in da gym but where the toughness go when you walkout the gym? He lost his grandma and y'all chant that? Cowards

No... I didn't say it wasn't said, period. I'm the one who posted here that it was said in the first place. I'm saying, in that video, I don't think they were saying it right then.

So. The consensus seems to be that it was not the Crazies as a whole... they were doing the "past your bedtime" chant. Rather, it was a few students who decided to be jerks and chant "how's your grandma". So it wasn't a group chant by the Crazies, it appears.

/Begin rant that isn't aimed at anyone on this board, but society as a whole.

I feel awful for Tyler Lewis. For even one fan to chant something like that really sucks.

But the State fans can spare me the outrage and ********, frankly. I'm married to a Clemson and UConn alum, and we've stopped attending Clemson/UC sporting events at State. The final straw was the 2011 game at Carter-Finley. My God, the things we heard and the thrown peanuts we dodged.

It's hardly anyone's fault but our own for even bothering, but FFS, my wife is 5-6 and wore a purple and orange scarf. It's not like she's some rowdy, or some **** talking lout who might have had it coming. Me? I didn't go to NCSU or any of the other schools, so I could not have possibly cared less about the games honestly.

But it gets better.

1.) We bought the tickets from NCSU alums who have season tickets. The people screaming KNOW the people we buy our seats from. Know them personally! I told these people, "Look, we bought these freaking tickets from the people who've sat here for a decade. Give it a rest." No dice. Two more hours of "GO HOME YOU ****ING ****!" ensued.

2.) My wife, at the times all of this happened, was a faculty member at NCSU.

Unbelievable.

People who attend sporting events in general just need to chill the hell out.

No reason for the teams to hate eachother (yet) but still, fans of that class are by far the exception rather then the rule. I mean I've had UVA fans (those bastions of class and civility ) try to intimidate their way through the ranks of the ****ing marching band while I was at WVU. We basically "stacked the borders" and our director said "Don't provoke anything, but I didn't see anybodies elbow clip someones head if you guys didn't, and there's 350 of us that will say they didn't".

Civility is sorely lacking in the sports world in general, but when you mix a college age crowd in with a whole lot of readily available alcohol then the end result will NEVER be outright pretty unless the fans are making a concerted effort to be as welcoming as possible. It's just not in the nature of the college sports world to see that sort of thing. I've seen some fantastic acts of graciousness from some of the least expected places (UConn @ WVU following the Jasper Howard stabbing, my trip to ISU) and some acts of hostility that could even make an Eagles fan say "ok that's a bit much".

Of all the weather phenomenon I've witnessed, I'd have to say actually seeing a tornado on the ground and experiencing thundersnow are two of the most impressive.

A few years ago while hunkered down at the start of a Nebraska blizzard, it started flashing and booming just as the snow was getting ramped up. There was something entirely awesome about it that I can't really describe. It felt a little apocalyptic.
