Any pics? That's awesome, since the kid is like 5'5''

Here's a good comparison between him and two bigger guys.

Yeah, he really does.

He looks like a little guy who could break someone's neck.

His neck is a LOT thicker than it was when he first got here. His arms aren't that thick yet, but damn... his legs and chest and neck are really, really thick.

It's a good thing since he's a short dude. I wouldn't want to get checked by him.

Is that Genoway on the right? Man he's a big guy from the looks of that photo.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's:

Dawes - Dubinsky - Genoway

Well considering he's standing next to a guy who is 5'5'', its not really saying much from that pic.

Ive seen Dawes lay some HUGE hits against players this past season. Always on the forecheck and he sneaks up on them so he usually lays a pretty damn big hit (which also would send the guy maybe 4-5-6 inches bigger then him very hard into the glass..or on their as*).

Ah here we go
[image]http://www.hartfordwolfpack.com/updates/recaps/images/20060311e.jpg[/image]

and heres a picture showing how big he is:

Nigel is 5'6

And Degon/Genoway is standing to the right of Dubinsky.

Kinda OT, but I think these are great pictures of Ivan the Terrible.

Look at his expression on the first one!

Yeah, from the games I've seen it always seems like Dawes is a buzzsaw player on the ice out there. Little fire-hydrant kinda guy. A real spark plug.

He's standing next to Dubinsky who's 6'1 and Degon who is 5'11 and both have a decent amount of height on him.

On skates Nigel might be 5'8. Doesn't really matter.

He reminds me of Gionta a lot and we know SBOB loves Brian Gionta.

Definitely with that facial hair going and that fro. Love the fro.

He's clearly my favorite Rangers prospect and I can't wait for him to join the big club.

good post

clearly he did gain weight, who knows if the rangers are bumping his lbs even higher, i can't imagine them pushing for him to bulk at 185 already

Overlisted

I find these Dubi #s to be a little high. Here's a recent photo of Rod Brind-Amour and he's listed 6'1, 205.

I'll reserve judgement on Dubinsky until he holds a shirts off interview (like Poti loved a little too much this season).

Dawes to me has always been stocky, ala Pat Verbeek. Their game is very similar as well from what I've seen, so we're in for a treat...

Personally that's where I'm coming from. There are some real thick bodies in the NHL which makes me wonder about some of these weights. The Rangers have a history of this, even from when I was there.

Dawes is a thick customer, always has been. Built like a little sherman tank which is one thing I thought was always going to help him.

Dawes and Dubinsky are two kids who I picked as real sleepers who've really come through.

Now if only the trend can continue with Dupont and Hillier.
