Way to go Wild!

This is a happy day in the State of Hockey. I pretty much had given up on them about half way through last season because I was so fed up that they hadn't signed anybody worth while in about 2 years.

Gaborik re-signing was the cherry on the top of the rest of the FA signings DR has already made!

The only negative is that we have to go through this all again in 3 years. I would have liked for the deal to be 5-7 years, so I wouldn't have to worry about this for a long time. But o-well, we can't have everything we want...

Start? Hell, it's already over. Haven't you been reading the threads on Wild.com? Only thing still left unresolved is the exact day and time FedEx is going to deliver the Cup.

And also, congratulations for hiring my boss and bringing in a new citizen to the city of Minneapolis!

(Calle is my boss)

More about it here, bottom of the page:

That was the Minneapolis fact of the day!

Treat him well, I will miss him ... or just try and tag along later this year and work there, TOO!

Gaborik + Calle

Wow!

Dunno, but I'll be visiting him and his wife some day , maybe this christmas whilst I'm in da States for Christmas in New York.

Maybe you guys can join me in some outdoor hockey? Who's in???

It'd be awesome if we could set something up later this year - seriously. And then you can also see Calle's faceoff skills

That'd be fun! Hopefully we'll get more than two weeks of good outdoor ice this winter (although my bank account liked the warmer weather, that's for sure).

Wow, the GM's really throwing with money around in this season. I like Gaborik very much, but 6,33 mil/year is perhaps 1 mil too much...

Mmh, if it leads you to the playoffs, probably not. But I guess both won't happen.
But who knows...

Gaborik FINALLY has talent around him...heck he put up 38 goals, missing nearly a month of the year and playing with different scrubs nightly, ( yes he RARELY played with rolston)

Gaborik has been to the playoffs once in his career, and proved to be a PLAYOFF STUD, stepped up his game, when they meant more.

This signing was great, i just wish it was for longer.
