Grabovski would get a 1st if he were being shopped, not in the top 15, but I think he'd net us a 1st rounder + B prospect easily.

It would be moronic of Nonis to trade Grabovski right now though, unless he had some sort of backup plan up his sleeve.

Zajac is 2 inches taller then Grabovski, so I'm not sure how you can say he is much bigger. Also how exactly does Zajac produce more? I can see you making an argument for 08/09 or 09/10 but Zajac hasn't produced more than Grabovski in years. I realize Zajac's achilles was injured last year, but this year he's only on pace for 12 points in 48 games.

Grabovski IS better then Vermette, I'm curious do you watch much leaf games? Or do you just believe because a player outscored Grabovski's NHL highs 5 years ago means that the player is better NOW?
Zajac is also fed 1st line minutes, originally with praise now with Kovalchuck

Grabo is not going anywhere.... Randy Carlyle plays grabo in almost every key situation... Grabo's line always shuts down every other teams top line..

I think teams would be chomping at the bit to acquire a center like Grabovski.

Other than last game, where he got a game misconduct, he had 22 mins, 20 mins, 20 mins and 17 mins in the last 4 games ..

I would take Zajac at 5.75 over Grabovski at 5.5 10 times out of 10.

If you think Grabo would get 1st + B prospect then Zajac would get more.

He's 4 inches taller and 22 Pounds heavier. Grabo is 5'11 183 and Zajac is 6'3 205. I'd say that's quite the margin.

Zajac has battled injuries, consistently he has produced more & he is a bit better two-way player IMO.

Yeah he is struggling but he is the better player. Players struggle. But I would take Zajac over him anyday honestly.

I'm a fan of both players, and I know enough about both, I watch as many Leafs games as I can (I have Center Ice)

Grabovski is better offensively, but Vermette brings the speed, grit and a two way game that I really like, he can also put up points (had a 65 point year on CBJ) so he is a capable 50+ point guy and has a very solid all round game.

For our team atleast, I would rather Vermette myself. Although Grabo is the better offensive player.

Alright well I guess this trade conversation is over then. And in a hurry.

Grabovski does has some value, and teams will be looking to add him at the trade deadline. He is to small for shutdown center. Carlyle is just using what he has been given. Who else on the Leafs can play shutdown center minutes? Kadri? Bozak? Connolly? There ain't no one else. Grabo is playing in that spot because there is no one else too.
