Bozak + Kessel

for

Clutterbuck + Granlund + Dumba/Brodin + 3rd

Personally I'd look elsewhere as this would be more of a futures package for Toronto, unless...now I'm not too sure but, how would Minny fans feel about subbing in Heatley for Clutterbuck? The rest of the deal would remain. Just didn't know how you felt about him and his contract. Thoughts?

Holy heck this is BAD! I think the wild make sense if kessel is to be moved, unfortunately this is serious quantity/quality trade that leafs just don't need. My opinion is that it's 2 of these- Granlund, Brodin, Dumba, Coyle & a piece like clutterbuck or a 1st. Kessel is ELITE.

Keep Heatley as far away from Toronto as possible.

I'm dumbfounded by all the Leafs fans coming in laughing hysterically at the OP, then going and making proposals that are even worse.

I want to apologize to the Leafs fans for my fellow Wild fan here. Obviously he's had too many drinks.

Parise-Koivu-Kessel would be insane.... Damn.

Why not? Kessel is what the wild are missing and the wild have good young players in positions of need for the leafs.

Minnesota is not going to give up a solid pest, a top 6 winger and a franchise defenseman for Kessel.

Because Minnesota needs depth. They have a lot of players coming off the books in the past couple of years and rather replace inside than outside.

One Leafs fan is making bad proposals, hell he didn't even laugh at the OP in his posts.

That aside, yeah, no to the OP.

Do you people even realize that the OP is a TORONTO fan, not a Wild fan?

Also, as Wild fan, I have no interest in the OP offer, nor any offer that involves Parise, Coyle or Brodin. (not really interested in Kessel either because I know Toronto way overvalues him due to what they gave up in the Boston trade)

Not even close to enough for Kessel. I simply don't understand why so many people don't realize how good Kessel is. He's been one of the most consistent goal scorers since he entered the league. He's also one of the Leafs's most valuable players. They won't - and can't afford - to trade him for scraps. They'd need true building blocks such as a promising young goalie or center or 1st round draft picks for him. The likes of Setoguchi and the 2nd rounder won't come close to enticing the Leafs to move Kessel.

Ha. Took 40 posts until somebody said it. I guess it was easy to assume it was one of us, based on how much Toronto would've been bent over.

someone is trying to ruin Wild fans' reputation with the original trade idea. It would absolutely take a deal based on one or two of our best prospects plus a pick, and Leafs fans, sorry, but Chuck wouldn't do the deal because that's not where we are in team development. We need the cheap contracts of our best prospects.

There is quite the hfboards patterns of a Leafs fan proposing a trade between the Leafs and some other team and other Leafs fans showing up and claiming that the Leafs are getting screwed because their player is either elite or a bluechipper and how the other team needs to pitch in more, and then the Leafs players agree amongest themselves that the appropriate cost of said Leaf player is at least 2 of the other teams brightest young players, plus a roster player and a 1st.

Then fans from the other team show up and go "wtf is going on here, we wouldn't even agree to the OP's trade".

The day Jonas Brodin is traded is the day GMCF is fired.

Yeah... This x1000.

We just don't make good trading partners.

Kessel is a great player, no doubt.

You guys are all delusional if you think ANY trade involving Brodin, Granlund OR Coyle is going to happen.

Not that Kessel is not worth it, it's just that we're not trading them, hence we are bad partners.

Honestly though, the Wild really do not need Kessel badly enough to pay what the Leaf's need to get for him.

We are flush with young talent and the better option is to sit back and see if one of them turns into a Kessel. This Kessel thing is going to end up turning out like the Nash deal for CBJ. They are going to demand a ton because they have to and in the end will settle for what people are willing to pay. Or they could roll the dice and hope he re-signs....which I doubt...but you never know!

The three young players in question are not going to the Leafs, or anyone.
