Grabovski to have hearing on "the bite".

Wondering - why is Colton Orr not having a hearing for his intent-to-injure attack?

Isn't that sentence slightly redundant?

I have an old PVR so I haven't been able to take in a bunch of their games so far but from what I have seen, they still lack some grit. They still tend to get pinned in their zone for long periods of time and I don't think their D is ornery enough, though I love Smid to death.

Obviously with that much youth there is lack of experience which hurts you at certain times of the game, and there will be mistakes. However, this team should be able to score itself out of trouble, and Dubnyk has shown some flashes of excellence.

Overall I think they are still unbalanced. They need to trade at least one or 2 of the smurfs and get some bigger guys with some grit who can still play top 9. They could also use a really mean defensive D man. What about you? What are your thoughts so far?

I have thought for a long time and still do that the Jets and Oilers would be great trading partners. Each team has something the other needs.

I would love to trade some of our big bottom 6 forward depth for a smurf or two. I don't really want to speculate what would work but I know there is a trade there that would make both teams instantly better.

A guy in one of my fantasy leagues offered me E. Kane and Mike Smith for Quick and I took it. Now watch, he'll dominate.

The fan base is so in love with all those kids they would freak if they traded one of them. The return would be steep but they need to do something about that back end Klefbom isnt enough

There are a few threads that I have read there lately. From their board, it looks like not only has he not been playing well, but they have moved him into the category of costing the team games.

Multiple posters wanted him scratched, and many more want to see him traded. I even saw a disgruntled poster or two mention buying him out.

I was going to post it all in the Burmi thread to put some perspective on Burmi. We're looking at Burmi as if lighting up the score-sheet is the biggest sin he could be committing right now. Even though he was been excellent on the PK, a possession beast, and excellent in most of the games this year. Contrast to a guy who is older, won the Calder, and is struggling mightily. Sometimes perspective and reasonable expectations are in order.

Thank you boys.......man just shows how tough this game is. Myers was (is) thought of as a franchise type defensman by many. Oh well he just has to play his way out of this.

Yep - as much hand wringing as we're doing over the Jets spotty performance, they're 1 point out of 3rd in the conference thanks to the SE division.

I thought they were off to the races, apparently they tripped 1/4 of the way through the race.
