Hordi on waivers

Bob Stauffer ‏@Bob_Stauffer
Hordichuk goes to waivers. My guess is VandeVelde gets re-called tomorrow

It's about time.

Good guy.

Not the best hockey player.

Definitely makes more sense to do this than send Paajarvi back to OKC.

With Jones coming back soon, the only other option would be to send Harski or Magnus down, and they are actually contributing.

Figured this was coming. Good move.

edit - if its just to recall VV to play instead of Smyth, even better.

Thank god. I had no issue bringing back Hordi if they planned on using him, but they never gave him much of a chance so get rid of him.

Cue Eager's next concussion.

(Not that I'm a Hordichuk fan in any way.)

Best of luck to him going forward, hopefully he finds NHL employment elsewhere.

If no one claims Hordi, does he go to OKC?

Even if Eager gets concussed or his back goes or whatever, it's not like Hordi did anything while Eager was out recently.

What's our veteran rule looking like down there? Do they really need him down there?

Might be better off to just allow him to sit at home and pay him.

Just no quite good enough of a player which is too bad as he is about the only agitator that this team has and we SORELY lack that aspect on our team.

Wow,

Rob Tychkowski ‏@SUN_TYCHKOWSKI
Didn't think it was possible for the Oilers to get softer.

Hordichuk on waivers; Oilers just a little easier to play

Rob Tychkowski ‏@SUN_TYCHKOWSKI
@RenanEdm Just because they didn't play him doesn't make him useless. Now the Oilers have NOBODY
