I'd be okay with Leopold. But believe I'd be in the minority there.

We'll throw in Adam.

Leopold + Adam for Boyle. Hopefully by adding value to Leopold it would be more tolerable for the fans who don't want him.

Leo can play the right side though, as he does when paired with Regehr. Not ideal, but he's shown to be adequate on either side.

Boyle is more valuable than Weber who cannot seem to crack the line up.
Actually the value for Boyle is Eller +.

If Helm is still injured in a couple of weeks, I could Detroit being interested. Tom is an assistant coach of the Red Wings now and has ties to NYR, even though he never coached Boyle. A bottom-6 guy for another, say Eaves + pick for Boyle?

BB was benched for the first time since 2009.
He was a key cog in the playoff run last season, he started slow and Torts is giving him a kick in the butt.

Quote:
Tortorella said he hoped Boyle would be miserable watching the game and added that he hoped Boyle never would make him come to that decision again.

"I liked the way our team played (Thursday). I didn't see there was a reason to take someone out of the lineup to force Brian back in," Tortorella said. "I think Brian is going to be a big part of the team. But he just has to wait his turn now until we make a decision with what we do here.
I don't think Boyle will be traded, but his value is Eller+.
No joke.

Well cause you say it is doesnt make it so. If he is traded, I think you will be shocked at how little he is worth. He can be a useful player and if you think you will be getting a 1st + for him, you should seek help cause I think you bumped your head or something.....

As I said in another thread, Gaustad returned a 1st at the deadline as a UFA. Boyle is a similar player, except he is signed for another year @ 1.7 million and younger. The Rangers really don't have to move him. He has been a staple on the team for a couple of years and is a good bottom-6 player with size.

The preds overpaid by alot cause they thought that would put them over the top for the cup. The Habs will not make a mistake like that.

If he does get traded I honestly think we'll all be surprised at the return. This is slats we are talking about here . The last trade he lost was five years ago and that's only because instead of re-signing jagr to complement zherdev, he backed up the Brinks truck for wade. Everyone at the time thought he made out like a bandit on that deal, as it turned out I would really love toots back. Boyle would likely go for a bottom six player with upside or for a #5 dman with bite if that's what it came down to.

Let me just say that I was shocked last time we traded with Montreal.
I bet you were too.

It goes both ways my friend. How is Jozef Balej playing lately?

Also, with Gomez the habs almost made it to the SCF. So yea it was a bad trade but thats the risk you take somtimes....
