Le Baron said Habs didnt make any offer for Arnott

I know he isnt the most reliable journalist of the world but he just said during his chronic "le Baron vous répond" that someone in the Habs org. told him Gainey didnt make any offer to Arnott...

Personally, if true, Im not surprised at all cause Arnott is badly overrated as a hockey player and a cancer in the locker room..

It's that new secretary Bob brought in. The one who is top-heavy. She's giving away all the information. Eklund is paying her top dollar for all his rumors.

I think he said something like everyone would like to have Arnott.. But its probably to be polite.

Anyway we will never know. We don't even know what happen in Gainey's head office. It doesn't really surprise me either. It's all about the media who have threw the name of Arnott in the discusion. The media just made association with that story (like the Dallas connection between Carbo, Jarvis, Gainey and Arnott; his friend Sheldon Souray and blabla...).

Gainey had nowhere else to turn after all the good UFAs were signed or proved too expensive. Take comfort. Ribeiro's contract is for only one year. Unless he has a good season, he could lose his position to Chipchura, Grabowsky, or a UFA/tradee in 2007-08.

Arnott's personality would have been a bad fit in Montreal anyway. He does better when he can live and play in a city where he can remain anonymous. Anywhere that he plays if the fans and media get on him, is play slides. Not a good thing for anyone expecting to play in Montreal.

If there's a guy who has no clue about what he's saying, it's Le Baron.

Why is he on RDS again ?

It's because of that great head of hair.

Worst then his useless hockey insights is that Boxing Knockouts show that he co-hosts. Man... besides being soooo "Mon'Oncle" in his comments about the skanks holding the round cards... I am sure that they do not even watch the footage before they film. The show is about knockouts... so they know one is coming... and all along they say..."it's coming, almost got him there." It's just embarrasing. They are seeing for the first time as they "broadcast".

They have to take that show off the air, or change the name to RBS.

Isn't that everyone on RDS? The only one I dont mich is Alain Crete. The rest, Demers, Brunet, Pedn, Houde, Flynn, Therrien, Lavoie, are just so annoying.

I think it's true. The only reports we have up until now is Elias and Shanahan are both left wings. I think the center position was never in question.
