I'm going to assume you're blowing up Calgary for a rebuild

If so

To Vancouver

(F) Jarome Iginla
(C) Mike Cammalleri

To Calgary Flames

(D) Kevin Connauton
(F) Mason Raymond / (F) Chris Higgins
(G) Eddie Lack / Vancouver 1st round pick 2013
Vancouver 2nd round pick 2014

One would assume Luongo's 5.3 is off the books, and probably Ballard would get shipped for a 2nd back

Lets face facts here, no Calgarian or Flames fan would ever live in that city..your not fooling anybody.
buzz off man, this team stinks, and I've had to deal with too many Oilers fans telling it to me. I love the flames, but this team is going no where. Stop fooling yourself.

also, the only reason I live in Edmonton is for the University, which is exponentially better than the one in my beloved home town.

The only piece that helps a rebuild are the late round draft picks. Even with Luongo off the books, you can't afford that cap. Not even close.

Keep Brodie, Baertschi, Jones, maybe Hudler and Cervenka. The rest of them deserve to be traded.

Mike Cammalleri could definitely be an option for Ottawa for a number of reasons

1. They're down a centre. He might be back, but without Spezza, the Sens are going to struggle to make the playoffs without some help.

2. They have mountains of cap room and payroll this season (injury to Spezza) and next season (Alfredsson and Gonchar retiring). In fact, they might be below the cap if they DON'T make a move.

3. Mike Cammalleri plays winger in case Spezza comes back this season, and by next season there will be a roster spot open for him for at least another year (Alfredsson).

4. The Sens can't afford much (Lots of good prospects but not spare "bluechippers", and not a lot of spare roster players either) Ottawa could likely afford better but less interest is perfect for the Sens and Mike Cammalleri can't be a huge commodity right now.

Hopefully something could be worked out between the teams because it's definitely a good fit for Ottawa.

I'd give up a mid-late pick like a 4th or 5th to see if Blake Comeau could turn it around in Edmonton. He'd be a better option for us right now then Ryan Smyth at least.

I would say Glencross has probably the best cap hit of any winger in the league in terms of production.

Not a chance. Ryan Smyth has been bad the past couple games but decent the first couple. Not giving up a pick for another 4th line 13th forward. Plus our fourth round picks have got some promising prospects the past years.

Id trade Comeau for Smyth straight up tho

Once Babchuk comes back from injury the flames will have too many D.
Sarich is the obvious chocie to be moved likely just for a mid round pick.

I think ANY deal involving Iggy HAS to include a 1st going to Calgary.

I'd like it to, but if the right prospect came back I'd be fine with just a 1 for 1 type deal. A signed Kuznetsov or someone like that would be a great return in my eyes. Couturier would be good, we'd have to add something, but I'd like that.

2nd Round pick for Glencross.
Start with a first round pick and a very good prospect and you won't have the phone hung up

I would love J bo in TOR as he seems like a solid #2 minute muncher.

What would you be looking at in return?

- D prospect?
- 2nd round pick?
- cap dump?

1st + good prospect he looks amazing under Hartley, also I think he would be terrible under Carlyle.

Carlyle has managed to get JVR and Franson using their big bodies. I feel like he could have the same effect on Jbo.

I highly doubt it, Sutter tried it, Jbo is effective when using his speed his stick when he tries to use his body he doesn't have the energy to play offensive.

Cammy doesn't play centre.
