So... was that a 'Yes' or a 'No'. Not sure why you're so afraid to answer this simple question.
You don't need a "yes" or a "no". I like to think you are better than this. Do not disappoint me.
How about : what is the point of ranting on and on about how you would want to do such a thing when it is so obvious to everyone but you that it's barely anything other than raging fantasy ?
Aren't there enough things going wrong with this team for you to debate about and around ? You need to grasp at hilariously ridiculous hypotheticals to vent.

Vent away, mate.
I'm not going to rant. Dude, it's not like I'm asking you to sign your life away. Answer it or don't. I just don't see why you're so afraid to do so. If you want to discuss this, fine. But answer my (very fair) question and stop running away from it. Otherwise you're wasting everyone's time. If you aren't willing to take a position on this then your opinion is worthless.

Internet warriors are the best kind of warriors.
How is answering multiple times running away from a question ?
Have you even read my goddamned replies ?
I'll give you a hand with the most recent one :
Quote:
I don't think there is anything available right now that'd be right to trade for Cole. No picks, no prospects; Cole has incredible value to this team right now, and he will have just as much next year.
This team needs this type of veterans to go forward, and even moreso if it's going to "rebuild".
You see shiny draft picks and Taylor Halls where I see a terrible failure in understanding how this stuff works on a human and organisationnal level.
You don't need a "yes" or a "no", you have an eight-line reply to satisfy your curiosity.
I think Cole will turn it around. I actually like the guy and he was better than I ever expected he would be last season. There's no way he's going to go the whole season this badly.
yea get rid of him and gionta, trade the oldies, get some picks, lets do this once and for all ,build a solid foundation, and stop patching holes with veteran players that only have a few years left in their bodiessss, cmonnnn
I'm willing to give Cole a pass for the time being, but there comes a point where you just can't take it anymore. If he doesn't start to pick it up soon offensively and defensively, then the team really needs to do something about it.
His defensive zone coverage has been so pathetic it makes me want to pull my hair out. The lack of jump on offense I can live with. Guys take a while to get going sometimes, especially after the long layoff, and he did similar things last year before finding his groove. But his lack of commitment on the defensive side of the puck has been a HUGE detriment to the team so far. If you aren't scoring you had better be helping the team in other ways, and he has been all around terrible so far.
Well that price will have to be pretty steep. Cole's a big man and I'm not, so I'll most probably get b****slapped trying to move him.
Won't be molested by a hockey player for free.
The thing about Cole is that he's a lead-by-example type of guy. There's no way he stays in this funk for too much longer. He's not the type to let a bad stretch of games ruin his entire season.
Only the fact that we fans can be impatient is making it look worse than it is. Our thirst for hockey during the lockout, and the newly shortened season, has put every game under so much more of a microscope, so one bad game looks like five.
Is this season unsalvageable? Definitely not, unless Bergevin starts tanking right now. Getting into the playoffs would do wonders for the morale of the young players. On the other hand, trading Cole because he's gotten off to a slow start would probably make them think that Habs management is too cynical for them and they might slack in their effort. Does anyone expect Galchenyuk, for example, to think, Great! We'll hoard draft choices who'll help us win in 2017 or 2018?
I don't respect the outlook of those who say, "I wouldn't trade Cole unless the Habs get more than he's worth." It implies that those fair weather fans are already considering it but are weasel-wording their posts because they fear that fellow board members would turn on them.
if we traded every player after 10 bad games we'd have a new roster every season.
I agree that you don't trade players when they're slumping, but this isnt a slump cole is simply getting older and his heart probably isn't in it anymore, he can prove me wrong but I doubt it. But the right time to have traded him was last year at the deadline, hopefully bergervin understands asset management better than his predecessors.
