A quote from Gagne

Gagne said. "If it were true, I would hope the Flyers matched the offer. But I don't think it's true." Another example that french guys do not want to play with the Habs,

If he really doesn't want to play in MTL, all he has to do is to NOT sign the offer sheet.

What's he supposed to say? I hope the Habs offer me something and hope the Flyers dont match?

This quote doesn't seem to be credible.

But even if it were, he's not a Habs fan, if I recall. It has nothing to do with him being Francophone either way.

Why would he have to sign it? If he doesn't want to sign the offer sheet then he doesn't have to.

I don't think Gagne can handle the Montreal pressure that is why he wouldn't want to come here. Turgeon number 2.

it's not about now wanting to play in montreal, it's about wanting to stay in philly

he would have said the same thing if the rumor was involving dallas or Florida.

Gagne has the "PH" tattooed on his heart. He's a Flyer and bleeds black and orange.

He's a Flyer, not a Canadien. Obviously he's going to respond that way.

If he wanted to he could sign for the league minimum in Philly even if he's offered the league maximum from someone else...its up to the player

Apparently Luongo rejected a RFA offer sheet of 8 million from another western team before he signed with Vancouver

Turgeon did well in Montreal.
127 points in 104 games with us.
I'm still mad at Houle for the dumbest trade in the Habs history (Turgeon, Fitzpatrick, Conroy for Corson, Baron and a draft choice)

me too !

a lot of fans still talk about the Roy trade , but for me the one of Turgeon was even worst . It was the begining of the dark deceny of the Habs . Trade your 100 pts and +per season , first center , for an old 3th liner at the end of his career ,

Dumbest trade in the habs history, no...Roy was. But this is a very close second.

I agree it's quite funny how so many hang off the words of opposing players... He wont say what he really thinks about playing in Montreal because his status is with ANOTHER team...

He's a team player... it doesnt mean he wouldnt want to play here... It's the fact that we dont own his rights...

Same goes with Laraque's comments a few years back that everyone got hung up on...
