Just posted in the pre talk thread that the Flyers are dressing Shelley for their game against the Leafs tonight.

I am feeling a gong show at the ACC tonight.

I told you guys... TBL wasn't actually beating there team chances wise but merely running on some good %s (sh + sv)... usually (not always) those fall down

Is there a more bipolar fanbase than the Leafs? They ragged on Reimer so hard, and now they're crying 'season's done' because he just got injured. Looks to be a hip flexor or something. He tried a lateral butterfly move and collapsed in pain.

I really hate the Leafs but man I feel so bad for James Reimer. Beats all the odds to become an NHL starter, gets a concussion, loses his job, battles back, only to have what is a devastating injury for goaltenders. Poor guy.

Seems like it. He couldn't put any weight on his left leg.

4-1 Leafs just after the halfway point in the game. Hopefully Philly doesn't wake up for us tomorrow.

A poster on the leafs board is 99% sure it's a PCL tear.
I'm not sure if he's right, but I like his moxy. Diagnosing it with full confidence, if he's right that's amazing.

Watching Kings game and they are mentioning a new rule change I had not heard about.

If you are making a pass to a player from your own side of center and it goes for an ice it may be waived off provided: The pass is receivable AND the receiving player is on the opposing side of center. I did not know this. Did everybody else know about this?

Thought this was pretty telling , from espn rankings for Chicago :Top-five in goals for and goals against per game, plus riding the best penalty kill in the NHL. As one NHL GM told me last week, "Those guys are playing a different game right now than anybody else."

Watched a lot of their games so far and have to concur , they have done most of this on the road and look so cohesive. Their young players have reached another level I think .

Love to be in their division , but hate to be too .

They are agood team, but they are over achieving too. They have been aided by some really high shooting percentages and an unsustainable penalty kill.

The Hawks have a number of regular penalty killers who haven't been on the ice for a goal against including Johnny Oduya. While Johnny is a fabulous penalty killer I can't see him sustaining that. Crawford will non sustain the .900+ PK save percentage either.

The Hawks are so bipolar.....when they are on and flying they look amazing and very fun to watch but when they are off they are really bad. right now they are on fire but they may be peaking a bit early.

Major reason would be Jaroslav Halak. Anybody thinking Brian Elliott was a half-decent goalie was kidding themselves, there is a reason he was unceremoniously dumped from Ottawa...and Colorado picked him up with the sole intention of him helping them tank the season for Landeskog.

Blues will be fine. Same as LA early this year, just a team struggling to find their identity.
