Highlight:
JVR burns the pylon Schenn on his way to score the 5th goal.

Midlight:
Frattin and Kadri are still golden.

Lowlight:
Reimer might have ended his season.

I liked how that trade looked in those few seconds and the goal that followed. JVR leaving Schenn swimming on the ice.

I would have posted saying how I've become cautiously optimistic, but this is ridiculous (if, of course, it is a long-term injury).

I am absolutely loving the physicality this team is showing. We are finally becoming the team Burke envisioned us to be.

Randy C has been able to make these guys buy into a team first mentality. They play for each other, and fight for each other. When the entire team was looking down, the 4th line came up huge for us, and really shifted the momentum of the game. From there on, we made most of our opportunities, and played some really good hockey on both ends.

Frasor McLaren's pickup and Orr's resurgence has been one of the biggest bright spots of the season so far.

You guys see Schenn peeking out of the can in the conference room?

All I have to say is Colton Orr says **** You Ron Wilson.

As I said many times, Ronnie treated Orr like a circus animal, whereas RC knows how to make a 4th line role player an important part of the team.

Superb game by Orr tonight, didn't fight, but made a big contribution on the ice.

Ron Wilson, **** you.

L. Schenn does look more mobile. It will be interesting to see how he progresses. Still make that trade from a Leafs POV, any day of the week.

Leafs need Gunnar back. 37 shots allowed against Montreal, 46 tonight (and yes that 5 minute major didn't help tonight).

Another great win! Love the way this team is rolling right now. Full confidence in each other, something that was definitely lacking in recent years.

Unfortunately, I think you're right. I started believing that after Doug Gilmour got injured in his first game after being reacquired by Pat Quinn in 2003. Sigh.

Fraser McLaren has been a real surprise to me. When Nonis picked him up, all I thought was "oh boy, another plug, what joy". Guess I'm eating crow.

On a side note, Grabovski line had a rough first couple of shifts but they're starting to definitely find their groove in terms of their role on this team.

JVR blowing past Luke "the pylon'' Schenn on his goal was the best!

Burke makes another amazing trade!!!

Great game. Let's hope Reimer's injury isn't serious, and that the team actually sheds some light on it rather than draping the mysterious "lower body" veil over the whole thing.

Also... I know we've gone on hot streaks before, but the team looks different this time around. It's not that we're winning... it's how we're winning. This is grittier, more defensive hockey. We have more of a net presence in the attacking zone. In previous seasons, individuals would get hot, and would carry the team. This time, it seems like more of a balanced team effort. It's very encouraging.

Still early. Let's hope we can keep it up, and that goaltending doesn't become an issue.

I hope this doesn't keep Reimer out for more than a week or so but kudos to Scrivens who came in off the bench and made some tough saves and kept his cool. A lot of good things tonight. The team was physical, the third and fourth lines were amazing tonight. I love the Franson/Fraser pairing. Nice to see JVR get a goal against his former team.

But the two biggest things

1. WE KILLED A 5 MINUTE MAJOR!!!! Excellent work by Scrivens and the PK teams to minimize the Flyers chances during that major and they were able to make some quick changes due to their ability to quickly clear the puck completely down the ice.

2. WE WON ON HOME ICE!!! Kudos to the team for really bouncing back after a horrible first couple of shifts in the first period. And kudos to the ACC for showing the team some love. It was great seeing the place react to the saves, to give a standing ovation to the team for that major kill and I loved the Reimer chant. Bowen even mentioned that the team got an amazing reaction coming onto the ice in response to their great 3 game road trip. It was nice to see the team be able to reward the team with improved play and a pretty well dominated second period despite that major they took.

Oh and the two home wins this season both started with really quick goals by the opposition. Is that the trick to improving this team's home record? lol. Gotta say, in years past, the Leafs had an awful winning record when giving up the first goal in a game. This season, I feel like they've given up the first goal quite a few times and have been able to battle back. To see the team still pull out an impressive win despite Reimer, who is arguably the team MVP at this point, was absolutely great to see!

Four in a row...feels good. We suck against Carolina and I'm not sure why but let's hope the Leafs carry that momentum into Carolina and prove me wrong.

RC on Reimer:

Lower body injury, not that serious, shouldn't miss for extended period time
