Take it slow with his recovery. Dont want to risk longer time injury rushing back.

I hope to heck hes OK

Good news:

@HennyTweets
Smiling randy carlyle tells media james reimer won't miss an extended period of time. #tmltalk

@Real_ESPNLeBrun
Carlyle says he doesn't think Reimer injury is serious and shouldn't "miss any extended period of time"

@Real_ESPNLeBrun
Reimer will have more tests done tomorrow

only thinking like this because i was trying to be so optimistic last season about his injury and the news just kept getting bad
i don't think carlyle would say that if they think there's a chance for bad news.

Stop with your neurosis.

head injuries are A LOT less predictable than a groin or knee thing

Don't think it's a PCL, I just tore mine a couple months ago. Apparently due to it's location it's normally a blunt force to the knee kind of a deal.

I'll wait until tomorrow.

That didn't look like it a minor injury that isn't too serious.

It looked relatively harmless to me, it was how he was quite slow to get up and had very visible difficulty getting off the ice that scares me.

We'll see how it develops but the early news is certainly good.

Harmless??

The fact that he couldn't get up on his own accord and then needed help off the ice, didn't suggest that it was harmless.

I'm surprised at what Carlyle said as I was expecting the worst.

But as you said - certainly good news. Let's hope that his tests come back OK tomorrow. I was fearing some ligament tear or groin tear etc.

Looked groin to me. Glad to see what Carlyle said at presser, but want to see the results of the tests. Scary time. Jeez, just when Reimer's got totally back on track, too.

Scrivens had one really bad game. Other than that, I don't think he's been that bad. Definitely shaky at times, but that'll go away with more experience.

There didn't appear to be any seriously damaging, or unnatural motion. It very well could just be a strain as anything in the knee area can be quite painful at first but relatively harmless after a few days of retraining. I think it's best to stay optimistic about his speedy recovery until the tests are complete and we find out what is really going on tomorrow. I'm sure he's got a lot of swelling right now which makes it very difficult to accurately assess the damages. With the knee it doesn't take much damage to have to limp off the ice like that. The good news is if it was a torn ligament there would be almost no way he would have stood up on his own accord like he did, and so quickly.

I think he meant the play and injury itself looked harmless. Which, I would agree, it did.

The aftershocks looked much worse unfortunately. If it is a knee injury, it might take a day or two before they can get an actual read on how bad it is because of the swelling and whatnot...

Well if it really isn't serious, give him time off till Saturday and let Scrivens play on Thursday because he did really well today.

Personally I don't ever remember anyone being that tentative on a leg and coming back after a couple of days.

I am preparing myself for the worst.

P.S. Nonis better be looking at a vet (not Lou) even if it is minor. That at least should be a wake up call.

You know, from Marlies Scrivens is not bad goalie. He just need to settle in a bit and stop overplaying the puck. I'm confident we can be above .500 team with him in net assuming team plays the same as recently found character one.

Geez I hope he only had a freak leg cramp. Needs to eat more potassium. Sounds like positive news anyways.

It did not look too bad to me. Probably muscle pull. Might be strain. Sometimes it feels awful for few minutes, but nothing that massage therapist cannot straiten out in short order.

:fingers crossed:

by some crazy coincidence, my buddy took his GF to the MRI at Mt.Sinai, and saw Reimer come in.

Said at least Reimer was walking, but he was limping badly and did not look good at all. Pretty clearly it was his knee that was the issue.

It looked like a groin injury on goal line cam, but when I saw him coming off the ice and unable to put any weight on the left leg, I feared knee in play.

We'll see what they have to say tomorrow.
