If we added Stewart we'd easily be the toughest team in the East. Wonder what kind of hefty price tag those two would demand.
Don't think St. Louis will move either goalie when Elliott is looking like...Elliott and Halak has injury issues.

Kulemin and Grabovski to play with Tarasenko?

Don't think I prefer any of them over Scrivens. Scrivens scares the **** out of me when he plays, but I like our chances with him over the FA goalies out there. But if Reims is out for awhile then that's something we should look into.

I would inquire about Lehner.

Can't hurt to kick the tires and see what they want.

I would call Minny about either Backstrom or Hackett.

Contact Florida about Theodore. OR Markstrom if they are dumb enough to part with him.

EDM for Khabibulin.

Some are cheap, others more expensive but the leafs should ask.

There's no reason to make that reactionary trade if he's "only" out for a few weeks...Sign one of the FA tendys and ride Scrivens for the next 5-8 games if you have to. Not ideal, but at this point I'd rather use assets in getting a true #1 center than a goalie.

St. Louis would be looking for help on D.

They're forward depth is awesome with Perron now healthy and Tarasenko/Schwartz breaking into the league.

Gunnarson for Stewart is my guess.

I doubt Armstrong travels to Toronto if Gunnar isnt playing.

Im gonna say Fraser or Franson. Mac possibly as well.

visited the blues board seems like some of their fans are going sour on perron, skilled player but maybe the concussion really has hindered his game?

Maybe something bigger -

Grabo, Kulemin, Gunnar

4

Stewart and Berglund

Leafs add their power forward in Stewart - who is from Toronto to boot. Berglund adds the size down the middle that we're missing. Bothof these players still have lots of potential to be top line talents.

The Blues play Grabo with Tarasenko and Kulemin. Gunnar is the defensive left side d they need to partner with Pieteranglo or Shattenkirk.

Didnt realize how poorly STL is playing lately. Maybe Nonis can take advantage of them in a panic move?

Probably Kulemin + Franson/Gunnar.

I'm sure they would have major interest in Gardiner and JVR, but not sure either one makes sense for another 2nd line centre.

Drop Kulemim, add Mac.

Stewart = Kule IMHO

Grabo + Gunna is a brutal overpayment for Berglund tbh

I'd really like Stewart and Berglund if possible. This would be our lineup, healthy, if the deal included Liles, Kulemin, and Mac. Maybe Bozak too.

JVR-Berglund-Kessel
Komarov-Grabovski-Stewart
Lupul-Kadri-Frattin
4th liners

Could mix and match players too.

Phaneuf-Holzer
Gunnar-Gardiner
Franson-Fraser
Komisarek-Kostka

Wouldnt mind something around Backes and Grabovski. Put Backes between Kulemin and Komarov, and have them as our 3rd line. Kadri and Frattin as our 2nd. Tell me that wouldnt be one hell of a checking line.

I don't see the improvement tbh.

I'd prefer to keep our guys and not trade for the sake of it.

Guys like Kule and Grabo mean so much to us. They are our shutdown line. There's a reason we've looked better defensively, and they are a reason for it.

We're playing great lately, and the grass isn't always greener on the other side

Backes is their captain... unless something internal has happened that we don't know about. Like Piet or Tank fought with him. I don't see him getting moved.

I would move alot for Berglund. But not sure it makes sense to move Kulemin. Need him too.

They'd probably trade Berglund for less than Oshie.

I'd want Oshie thou. He'd bring another physical winger that has some offensive talent.

Just imagine:

Lupol-Bozak-Kessel
JvR-Grabo-Oshie
Frattin-Kadri-Kuli
Komarov-Mcclement-Orr
Mclaren

I mentioned somewhere a RNH deal had been buzzing around my brain. Well it popped out.

To EDM:
Gardiner
Grabovski
MacArthur
Finn
Tor 1st 2014
Tor 2nd 2013/Prospect(Not Rielly or Biggs)

To TOR:
RNH
Hemsky

BEtween the emergence of Gagne and the lack of success RNH is having on the the top line I wonder if this might get some interest. A more Bulldog type player might be a better fit with Eberle and Hall/Yakupov (Yak and Hall swappped last game)

I know the deal would be a damn sight closer if Gardiner were 100%, but I hear he is improving.

I think EDM wants the playoffs worse thant we do. New arena deal. All these young pieces.

With three(four counting Hemsky) Elite Wingers, RNH is wasted on that top line.

He is not as agressive as Grabo. BUt when your Linemates won't pass the puck to you Why the **** are you on the line.

I've watched most EDM games this year.

Eberle does not want to pass to RNH.

Don't know why but he would rather fudge the play then set up RNH.

Eberle and Hall seem to have all the odd man rush plays worked out between them. Meaning there is no pass to a trailing RNH.

So try some thign different. They've alrady tried by swapping Yak for Hall.

This is more drastic but I think It works.
