assuming they lose, it will be SJ's 5th loss in a row.

Leafs are up 5-1 over the players with 13 to go in the 3rd.

Sorry, I meant Kings. Bob Miller's voice got me confused.

Greiss with 6GA against CLB..and people wanted him to be a starter here. If that was Emery, everyone would be calling him the worst goalie in the league, not even an AHL goalie, etc. Let me guess, Greiss gets a pass because its an off game, or SJ D was terrible, etc

Leafs won 5-2. Reimer left the game with a lower body injury. He's expected to miss some time but apparently it isn't serious.

The Islanders were 4/5 on the PP. The Islanders killed all 3 of their penalties committed. The Islanders lost 6-4.

I'm pretty surprised at how bad the Blues have been. I didn't think they'd be as good as they finished the regular season last year but would be in the conversation for the division. They have been getting curb-stomped as of late. 25 GA in their last 5 games.

Hitchcock's teams seem to follow a pattern of turning back to mediocrity in his second season coaching them.

But I still think it's just a bad slump and nothing more than that.

They are playing themselves out of contention for the division title. They better turn it around soon if they want even a remote chance of catching the Hawks.

Without a doubt. Elliott's playing terrible but so is the rest of the roster, except for probably Shattenkirk and Pietrangelo.

And it sounds like Halak went down again with the groin injury during warmups. With the Hawks start and how the division is shaping up, you have to feel very good about their chances to take the division.

I want us to take the conference.

Oh and screw the Blues. Many of their HF fans seemed to brag about them being the WC cream of the crop. If they finished below Columbus it wouldnt bother me.

Where did anyone ever say Griess should be the starter here? And did this guy steal your cat or something, that's an awful lot of hate for a back-up goalie.

What in the world are you talking about? He's not hating on the guy at all, he's just saying that if Emery did that this board would be all over him.

Quite a few people said we should bring him in so he can push for the starters role.

No hate whatsoever with Greiss. I like him.

Definitely, especially with the way is Elliott is playing right now (horrible). They should give Allen or McKenna a start. I don't think it is wise to let goalies work out of a slump starting every game.

The Sharks problem is that the real Joe Thornton is back and that is "No-show Joe". The Sharks sort of left Greiss hung out to dry. He did let in some soft goals. Let's just hope the Hawks don't fall into the same funk that the Sharks and Blues have fallen into.

Ya, too bad the real excuse is, he is just as bad as Emery, like most back-ups.

Ay guesses what the cut line is going to be for the playoffs this year? It was 42 in the west, 47 in the east in 94 but that was before 3 point games. 50 points this season?

Equivalent of 95 points in 82 (the average cutoff for the last three years in the West) is 56 points in 48.

Many are speculating 54 might be number to sneak into 8th place. Even if Hawks win at .500 from now on they easily make the playoffs.
