Vote for all our lines now with Vis and Bailey-1st line poll

I will make 1 for each line (including D pairings)and pick 3 you would want on each line and let's see what we come up with. Try to make valid points for C,LW, and RW per line. Lets keep it clean and come out fighting! Please pick just 3 and again make your choices according on C,LW, and RW and thought processes as why you chose the 3 for each of your lines..I'll start it off

My choices for the 1st line is Martin JT Boyes ..I think Martin could create space for JT/Boyes and unlike Moulson he can give them a physical presence as well (and i'm not hating on Moulson btw) i'll explain why in maybe the 2nd or 3rd line explanations.

P.S. I'm really tying to balance all 4 lines as best as i can.

The Isles top 6 might be the softest in the history of hockey.

I first said this a couple weeks ago, and now it seems to be the common belief.

Bailey should be playing with Tavares and Moulson.

HAHA... it's so funny.... we're so quick on these boards to embrace or drop a guy at the blink of an eye........... Half the boards wanted Bailey exiled before tonight, and after one good game back, everyone (including me), has him on the 1st line...... But if he has 3 or 4 bad games, we'll be trading him along with Okposo next week.....

I will say, I've always been a Bailey guy.... a ton of talent and creativity... at some point (perhaps this season), it's gonna come together.... He had a great game tonight and what I loved most was the speed and hitting.. He was skating hard and throwing the body around... The passing and stick-handling were crisp, but I always knew he had good puck skills.

I wanna see bailey jt and ulstrom. Im so tired of moulsons non existence on 75% of the ice surface. Im convinced hes the reason the 1st line spends so much time in the d zone.

I chose the same as you. Bailey-Tavares-Ullstrom would be perfect imo, but it's not likely that Moulson leaves JT.

It will never happen. Our coach isn't nearly creative enough to do something like that.

There's no way our top line can be pretty. Not when John Tavares is the only legitimate 1st line player on the team.

I've been saying for awhile that I wanted to see bailey get a chance with skilled offensive players. I also think he would add another player who can carry the puck on that line. His contract is up this year, give him a shot and let's see what we have in him going forward.

Watching tonight's game I really want to see Bailey up on the top line. Tavares just has to do too much...not only is he counted on to carry the offense, but he plays with two players who don't know where the defensive zone is.

Bailey isn't going to win a Selke any time soon, but he is solid in his own end and can be counted on to get back on d when necessary.

I know Bailey has been inconsistent in his time as an Islander, but let's look at his circumstances. He was rushed into the NHL before he was ready, and has he ever really gotten a chance to strive with some offensively gifted line mates? And I don't mean a 1 or 2 game stint.

He's improved his game every year since he's been in the league. The more time that passes you see a faster, stronger player with a lot more confidence. Give him a shot!

And you know what, even though this line doesn't seem like the most offensively gifted line, Bailey-Cizikas-Martin showed me a lot against Buffalo. All 3 guys were flying all over the ice, Cizikas and Martin were really throwing the body around, and Bailey is the play maker of the bunch. I'm not sure if that line is capable of putting up a lot of points (Cizikas is still young, and Martin still has developing he needs to do) but it's been quite effective!

There are a lot of possibilities for the top line but I'm not sure about the top 2 choices (Bailey and Ulmstrom) because that would mean it's all lefties. At this point I wouldn't want to break up MM and JT because of how effective they both seem to be together.

If you do break them up I'd like to see something like Grabner-JT-Martin. All 3 skate pretty well, Grabner being exceptional. Martin is your tough guy and goes into the corners to dig out pucks. Grabner gives you another guy who can bring the puck into the zone besides JT.

I agree. I already wanted Ullstrom up, and Bailey has been making a strong pitch since getting back, but let's be honest.

We don't have anyone who really should be John right now. This is like choosing which leftovers from the chinese food run you made two nights ago gets to be served with the Filet Mignon.
