Kings are 3 points out of 8th with a game in hand = very slim chance of making the playoffs.

Not to mention the fact that they're rounding into the form we saw last spring.

Craig Button. Real Man of Genius.
He's SUCH an assclown.

The man poopoo's trading away Johnson by claiming we don't have enough "good" defencemen. Whatever the **** that is supposed to mean.

Then in the summer he heaps a ton of post dated praise on us for winning the cup.

THEN this January he and Mike Johnson picked us to make it back to the SCF .

NOW, less than a month later, he's back to looking down on us? Or is February just a time of painful memories that brings out the worst of him?

The guy has no idea what a playoff team looks like since he's never led one there. Very slim. No one at this point is very slim on making the playoffs, outside of Columbus maybe, but only because they are building for next year.

As for the game, we must trade Richards now, Stool needs to be benched, our goaltending is a mess, we keep playing like this we'll be handing Columbus a potential first overall pick... we must be the worst defnding champions since Carolina...

Oh wait, we won? I guess the boo birds can stay away for a few days.

We won today, we dominated for the most part yesterday, we are rounding into shape and we play Columbus next. Assuming we don't crap the bed like San jose did tonight, we'll be in pretty good shape by the weekend.

The lines worked again. I even got my wish and they plugged Penner back in, with sexy results!

THESE lines, Sutter! We want THESE lines!

@JeremyZager: Officially on I-R with a mid body injury...Out for six weeks. Rehab starts tomorrow. No other comments will be made at this time.

RE: Alec Martinez... Not good news guys. I'm not too fond of a Drewiske-Campbell bottom pairing lol, this is getting ridiculous, would love to have Thomas Hickey right about now

Yeah, it was... it's just nice to see a new guy make something happen. Gotta keep it going of Martinez is really going to be out.

Glad to see a regulation win.

How has Ellerby looked? I am unable to catch most of the games nowadays unfortunately due to work and school.

Really well played game as a whole!! Great effort out there! I really really hope that JB gets the start next game, he definitely earned it and should be rewarded.

Wow, big mistake lol....

@JeremyZager: My tweet was about me personally folks. I deleted it since it apparently confused people.

I don't really know why he would tweet that knowing Martinez JUST got hurt. Either way, he definitely confused me there. Sorry guys

It was nice to see the Kings with a decisive win. This is the team I want to see show up more often. So far that's two games in a row we've seen the Kings dominate, but unfortunately they came away with two points. If they persevere like this, they'll come out on the right end in the W-L column.

If Voynov wanted to go back to Russia, he would have done it a while ago. He came to NA as soon as he could, this is where he wants to play.

Backes on the game tonight:

Quote:
“It’s no secret. It’s going out there and playing for the group. You got too many guys out there looking at the stat sheet and wondering how many goals and assists and cookies they got rather than taking a hit to make a play and getting run over to get a puck out so that maybe your teammates can have a three on two. So you can block a shot or kill a penalty when we really need it so we can stay in a game, and we just don’t have that desperation, that accountability, that responsibility to each other and that’s the thing – look at the team we played tonight. They all have that. Their guys that are willing to get run over for the guys sitting next to them. And I said it after the playoffs and it still rings true. We need all 20 guys to have that mentality that if I’m the guy to sacrifice my body or on the stat sheet so that we can be successful. All twenty guys need to have that mentality every single night or we’re going to continue to have interviews like this.

3 days off between games again. Followed by 2 weeks in a row in March where they play 5 games in 7 nights.
