is Eric Lindros. And he could be a better choice for certain teams. Eric will be a steal this year. He still has the potential to dominate the game this year, as he did early last year prior to the hand injury. Eric is not that old, and the better news: We are approaching three years since the last concussion. The fact is that Eric's chance of getting a concussion is no longer that much higher than you or me...(well at least you, I've had some concussions from playing)...Last year's injury was a fluke, and shouldn't make him any less valuable. The Leafs are the favorite to sign Lindros, but I am also hearing Calgary and Nashville are involved. If I was Calgary I would make this a necessity. I predict Eric Lindros will be the comeback player of the year.

What are you talking about? A healthy Lindros is still very useful. With TO he did well then he got hurt. I know he gets hurt EVERY year, BUT if he doesn't get hurt, the team that signs him will have a skilled center

"Healthy Lindros" doesn't exist anymore. Unless you exclude brain damages

Very true... but "healthy Lindros" is looking more and more like an oxymoron.

Well ya, I did say if he stays healthy. So in turn no one is lying when they say he is still good, but if that good only last 30 games, well then that just sucks

saying Lindros can have a a good year and all is one thing...saying he's better than Shanahan is another

Lindros hasn't played well since the fall of 2001.If it's not the concussions,it's his eye,his shoulder, his wrist, etc.Or he is carrying too many pounds.Even in that video of him working out in TO,Lindros had a gut

I would love to see the Habs sign 88 for a 1-year deal, between 1 and 1.5 million. He would be a steal.

IMHO:

1- Lindros wouldn't sign in Montreal, even for a 100 millions 10 years
2- Montreal (or Montreal fans ) wouldn't sign Lindros, even for 450 000$ (well... maybe to trade him! Someone might want to give a 5th rounder for Lindros!)

Fair enough, but if he's injured, it doesn't count towards the cap. He was amazing when Sundin went down last year. Why not take a flyer?

I dont see it saying that he's better then Shanahan....it says he's a better choice for some teams. For example...teams who cant afford a 5 million dollar contract.

"The Best Player Left Not Named Brendan...

is Eric Lindros."

and he goes on to say--> And he could be a better choice for certain teams
the way I read it clearly says the best UFA is lindros NOT Shanahan

healthy Lindros or not, he played for the Leaf and want to play there

I don't want that type of big sissy in a Habs jersey.

It says "The Best Player Left Not Named Brendan is Eric Lindros"

That means Lindros is the best player left, aside from Shanahan.

Well lindros will have to share the comeback player of the year award with jr since eklund already said jr would win it.
