Angelo didnt clinch his first spot yet. If he slides a tad, I say theres a bigger chance of a trade for him than Brassard because of the body type that will be more appealing to the habs. I dont think they will make the Lecavalier mistake twice. Hes the de-facto player we need to replace Koivu in 4 years imo. Much can happen before next year draft anyway.

I've been limited to the WHL and the odd AHL game on TV so I haven't seen most of the prospects others have discussed. That being said, I think the team's Western scouts have done a great job.

The one that comes to mind to look out for is Ben Maxwell. I was very pleased when the Habs drafted him. I'm not sure if he'll ever be an NHL player but he certainly has all the tools, imo. I find it remarkable that he lasted till the middle of the second round.

Count me in as a Carey Price fan. It's a crying shame he plays for such a lousy team. Unfortunately, it looks like Tri City will be even worse this year.

Dont worry, Grabo is the successor of Koivu!

I wish, but I dont think so. Beside I wish we shoot higher than Koivu evenif I like him he was always on the small side.

Size is overrated in the New NHL, look at the Canes; Whitney, Weight, Recchi, Williams, stillman, cullen, Larose...Theres not many big guys in their line up. Speed, grit and skill are the key.

Totally, I was talking more about durability.

In four years... We have enough time to devellope a player. Juraj Mikus has the offensive upside to get it but Grabovski is the front runner now.

Am i the only one who thinks this guy is the most talented center we drafted since Koivu?

Higgins is head and shoulder the best C we drafted since Saku.

I wouldn't say I'm "high" on him. I haven't seen him play enough to really think anything about him but I really wonder why we haven't seen him at least once in the nhl. Milroy seems to have quite a few attributes that would make him successfull in the NHL and yet he's already 23 years old.

I think he could surprise us at one point or another, even if it would only be as a fourth liner.

I never seen him play. It's quite tough to say how good he is but I hope you're right!

Higgins is more a winger than a centerman. I still think he could be a good center for Kovalev because he goes in front of the net and he's pretty good for garbage goal. But he was aweosme with Koivu last year. For his career the best move we can do is to let him play with Koivu.

Higgins has played as a winger ever since the NHL, I dont think you can still qualify him as a center. He's not a playmaker either and doesnt create as much as offense as you'd like from a center.

Higgins has nowhere near the SKILL Grabovsky has, i said TALENTED. The hihlights posted on the signing thread is enough to tell that this guy has special skills.

My favourite unheralded prospect is definately Ryan O'Byrne. a 6-5 defenceman we drafted in '03 (3/79). He's a big stay at home defenceman playing in Cornell.
By most accounts I have read of him, he is their most effective defenceman.
He has good skating ability, and is physical, and what makes him my favourite, he's a Right Handed defenceman, who could mature in to a solid defenceman.... I really like the fact that he's eating up minutes, hopefully his injury will be shooken off, and he has a stellar senior (final?) year and gets offered a contract.

If you have Kazaa, Ares, Morpheus or any of this kind it will be easy to find a codec for windows and any other software.
