I know that's extremely unlikely against a team as sound defensively as the Rangers, but it would be ironic.
Have the Bruins ever gotten a blow out victory against Lundqvist? I can't think of any off hand. Seems like the last few seasons the Bruins have barely won when they have won against the Rangers.

I think the one thing the Bruins did well against the Rangers in the last game was the forecheck-they seemed to be flying compared to the Rangers and the Rangers defense that night was rather swiss cheese like. Rangers defense was better in the second game and I suspect it will be even better in this game.

Hey, Happy birthday. It's mine also, though not quite 21 anymore. Hopefully the B's make it a good 1 for both of us. Sold my ticks to the game and decided to celebrate on the couch instead. Enjoy the game.
Lets Go

Agreed. I think for the most part every player on the wing for Boston is in the same ballpark in terms of skill. Julien could plug together just about any line combinations he wanted and it would still make some sense.

Let's go Bruins!

Ranger fan just browsing and to answer a couple of questions I saw.

1) Lundqvist has been average, but has picked it up the last two games. He made some big saves on Sunday early to keep Tampa off the board. He's looked a lot sharper the past two games, that's for sure. Easily could have had back to back shut outs.

2) Callahan is not hurt again, he played Sunday and scored a goal and seems 100% healthy. He's playing with Kreider and J.T. Miller.

I was born a little to late for the days of the Bruins/Rangers rivalry, so I have no hate for the B's. I actually like the way they play the game and rooted for them big time in the playoffs a couple years ago.

Enjoy the game.

It's funny I had been posting about this previously in the NHL talk thread because I was worried about the way that this rivalry was getting pushed upon us. I don't see it as one. I don't mind the Rangers and they have quite a few Murricans.

And if there's one guy from your team I can honestly say and sit here and admire is Callahan. Shotblocking king and leads by example. Now if only you guys can figure out those line changes...

Here's to wishing you luck in that difficult division!

i remember them and they were fantastic. This "rivalry" needs a playoff series asap to rekindle the magic.

Also have fond memories of Nick Fotiu flinging pucks up at us high in the balcony during warmups of the old garden and booing him until we all all realized "hey, he's giving us a chance at a puck instead of just dumping a bucket of pucks in the first few rows of loge where all the Richie Riches would grab handfuls".

Or it's just Caballo trying to wish Bergeron out of the line-up.

Good point. I almost forgot about that since it's been minimal to this point.

My guess is type/brain fart or Bergeron was on a maintenance day (any tweets on who was or wasn't at practice).

Boston Bruins ‏@NHLBruins
Typo in line rushes earlier, which were back to way B's started season. Here they are: 17-46-18; 63-37-19; 48-23-49; 20-11-22 ^CS

Just tune in to whatever game he's doing tonight. He's almost guaranteed to drop a Dougie mention or two, regardless of who's playing.

I actually don't mind Pierre. He has a really good knack for going on about players, coaches, refs, and front office personnel and knows basically ALL of their resumes. Kinda wish it was on NBC for that reason. Actually ya know what? I don't. Hopefully there's another game on too tonight!

Wait correction. it isn't on NESN, its on NBC.

It's blocked off on Comcast. It would be amazing if they put any one of the following games on:

ANA-CHI
DAL-EDM
MINNY-VAN

A little OT but I can't seem to remember how the Bruins got Khudobin from the wild. Was it the Kampfer trade? I'm completely drawing a blank.

He was traded in February 2011 for Jeff Penner and Mikko Lehtonen.
