He hasn't played the 3 since he got spare minutes in his rookie season 6 years ago. He's been a PF exclusively for the past several years.

Good to know... thanks.

I'm not overly impressed with the idea of getting Ilyasova... I guess he can help spread the floor a little bit better... but even still.

Then again, its hard to gauge the value Bargs has.

here's a trade i made up out of boredom. not sure if the value is anywhere near close enough but if anything the amount of salary the raptors retain after this season should make up for any short fall in value.

Well it's not the worst I've seen in these threads, but it's rather rough on Minnesota in my opinion. It's not bad for Phoenix, and obviously really good for the Raps, but Minnesota seems to give up way too much for what they get back. Williams may be somewhat of a enigma, but he's still got some of the value attached to a former #2 overall pick that is still very young. Bargnani's value as a former #1 overall has pretty much completely expired, but William's "potential" still exists. Not only that, but giving up Budinger seems very rough on them...he's on such a sweet contract for his production, he's arguably the most valuable player in this trade.

Phoenix makes out like bandits, Raptors do very well, but Minnesota gets roughed up in this trade.

Jared Dudley has big value for Phoenix as well. They love his defense and he's big in the locker room. Not only that but Derrick Williams still doesn't have a proper position yet and isn't really a good rebounder. I think the Raptors should just get a banger for Andrea. We won without him, might as well get some one who can rebound and get us the ball more then him.

Tons of players come out of high school. It's not something rare. Amir Johnson, Lebron James, Dwight Howard, Kobe, T-Mac, Andrew Bynum, Josh Smith, etc..

I know that but he was talking about KG's size when he came out of high school and talking about Ilyasova's size in relevance to being a good PF.

I think his point was that it's totally understandable that KG came into the league much, much thinner than he is now. If you follow the responses, people were criticizing Ilyasova for being thin/unphysical, then somebody mentioned early KG as a player that used to play very well as a rail-thin kid. The post you responded to just meant to say that it's more understandable or excusable for early-KG to be much thinner than early/current Ilyasova.

Exactly. KG filled out his frame after he came into the league. I don't think it's fair to expect an 18 year old to be 6'10 and 260 .lbs of complete muscle.

I like Blair, but his knees scare me. How long can he play with missing ligaments the way he does?

um yes I know this, what's your point? Garnett was 215 lbs when he was drafted in 1995. probably was around 220 at the end of his first season, and he was probably at his best when he was about 230-235. The guy wasn't always 253 like he is now, so what's your point in laughing bro?

Because using him as a comparison to Ilyasova is a joke. KG is an absolute crazy athlete and one of the best PFs over the past decade.
