Komorov, Phaneuf and Fraser are all top 40 in the league for hits.

Truculence.

the hits are one thing, but this kid is just solid all around. does all the little things right, and is a great skater to boot.

his hands are kinda stonish, though.

I love his raise. It's a breath of fresh air to see a guy who plays so hard and hits, while getting under opponents skin and playing literally any position on any offensive line in the lineup.

We've been missing a player like Komarov for a while now. Hes definitely exceeded my expectations this season (y)

The Leafs are 100% winning percentage when Grabo bites a player.

Komarov is a high level PK guy, he forechecks well, but his management of Grabo's rage really demonstrated the guy knows exactly what he is doing. He isn't out there just blindly hitting everyone and agitating everyone. He knows when to push buttons, provides leadership for his own guys, is just generally a solid player. I have a feeling the points will come once the chemistry develops.

Watching his post-game interview last night...how can you not like this guy?

"I didn't have to do anything today...it's 6-0...it was an easy game for us".

"It's just a goal...I scored a couple before too".

Okay, I changed the title and added the "Future Captain" kind of in jest.

However, seeing him pull Grabovski away from the Canadiens bench the other day made me think of how interesting it would be to have a captain who could communicate on the ice in the native language of players from several countries.

Of course he could also talk smack to most of the players in the league.

I'm quite positively surprised to see how well Leo has translated his game into NHL. He has played really solid from what I have read and seen. Not many points yet, but otherwise has played really well, I hope he has a bright future in the team as well.

Komarov is going to get a nice contract this summer. Good for him, he's been a key element to the team this year that we so badly needed. He's one of the primary reasons why the team is hard to play against.

The aspect of his game that stands out for me is his consistency. Game to game and shift to shift. Love that expression of his also...must drive the opposition to distraction. This is the kind of player that gets more prominent as the games get more intense and meaningful....playoff ready skills for sure.

Guess we have to wait for Komarov to get comfortable here.

First Komarov jersey will be owned by me.

Just need him to sign a multi-year deal.

He's been a great addition to the second line and has drummed up a lot of enthusiasm from Grabo and Kuley by being the aggressor/hitter, which creates more space for them to do the things they used to do.

Love how him and Grabo seem to have a brotherly-like comradery when sticking up for each other. Now if Kuley could get in there more often, we'd have a sick scoring/checking line.

It's only a matter of time. Hopefully both Grabo and Kuley get out of their scoring funk soon. We'll need them for the coming week.

should be on the 4th line when we're a good/great team, but can pinch on the 3rd line in the case of injuries no problem .

He is the player the Leafs have been missing since Tucker. I hope he spends a lot of time in Toronto, he is growing into one of my favourite players on this team.

Showing why he's a top 6 forward in the KHL.

Does everything better than advertized.
