People who say they are playing sheltered minutes seem to forget that not many players in the league that aren't on a first line are producing as well as these two. So either the leafs are one of the deepest teams in the league or they are just that good. How many guys in the league are producing this much and are playing less then 13 minutes a game?

I didnt have high hopes for Frattin but he has proven me wrong. I did however have high hopes for Kadri and hes proving a lot of people wrong.

Personally I think Frattin's finishing ability is making Kadri look good. With a real center like Steckle or Connolly, Frattin would probably have about 20 by now. Nah, I'm kidding. It's obvious they're comfortable together in their current role, there's no disputing that. I'm not so surprised that Frattin is showing up large, he's shown glimpses of doing it before and his shot causes all sorts of problems. Kadri surprises me. I keep expecting him to become complacent but in Randy Carlyle we've got a coach who knows how to help young players become pros.

On a sidenote, one knock against Frattin which was legitimate, his inability to use his team mates effectively, tending to just put his head down and plow ahead. Well, this apparent liability has really become a non factor because Frattin has made some sweet passes and seems to be developing better on ice awareness.

You bring up a good point. It would be interesting to see a comparison of every team's third line to see how they stack up.
