Ugh, I hate that he gets special treatment because his father was an amazing announcer.

For a guy who doesn't call hockey as far as I can tell, he' does a pretty damn amazing job. Probably better than 60% of the pbp guys out there right now.

Can't believe how many of the names he knows by number.

This. I can't stand watching his love for hating the Red Sox and Artie Lang.

That ruled! I've always been a huge Joe Buck fan. That was pretty funny hearing him step in like that.

He's really improved his flaws recently. I don't understand the hate at this point.

Sounded to me like a guy who is used to doing a ton of prep for his broadcasts that was thrown into a situation where he did none and was very self conscious about it. I actually enjoyed that. He would make a pretty good PBP guy with a little bit of time.

He get's "special treatment" because he's probably the best sports announcer in the US. The fact that he calls all the big NFL games for Fox and is the go to guy for the MLB playoffs speaks for itself.

If you actually listen to the conversation prior, he says he's a season ticket holder and watches the games.

Joe Buck is the best in the business. Understand that this is him calling a sport he's not familiar with, on the spot, when he doesn't know half the players.

1) He did relatively well.

2) He seemed like a human being for once.

Joe Buck, he obviously rides the tails of his father's legacy but he needs to just SHUT THE **** UP sometimes, cocky *******.

Wow people actually think he's a good football guy? I'm seriously perplexed by this... he is so monotone and boring with his calls, never shows any excitement or emotion.

Haha, not bad at all. I hate Joe Buck and how much he hates the Giants. I wish he sucked at this.

He's the best. The point of a play by play guy is not to scream and hoot and holler like a fan. Listen to another long-time great Brent Mussberger.

The very board that slams Rick J from the Sabres and commends Bob Miller (who has a very similar style to Joe Buck) doesn't like Joe Buck. Figures.

I think he did an amazing job there, considering he has no hockey broadcasting experience.

If he followed the sport and actually studied the sport he would be pretty damn good.

Wasn't bad
